Why does the carbon unit not comply?
For those of you keeping score at home, yes, I’m still powering my way through the Bare Rose folder in my inventory. Hey, if I’m lucky I may empty it out completely before the end of the year! Well, unless I make another shopping trip in the meantime. Another great ensemble (slash outfit, slash costume, slash roleplay gear) I found stashed in there is “Voyager 3b”. This is a fully detailed and outfitted astronaut’s spacesuit, complete with oxygen supply hoses and gleaming helmet. These are good things, too, unless accidental asphyxiation isn’t a problem for you.
The suit’s detailing is well done, and it’s non-specific enough that the suit can stand in just fine for one from any (or even no particular) space agency. Garment-layer fabric “liners” are provided in three different colors—Gold, Blue and Black—so you can vary the look. Prim components are well done but fairly minimal in construction, so rather than being bulky the suit has a profile that’s slim but still looks realistic. For some reason, I particularly like the boots with their chunky ridged treads, just the thing for getting (and keeping!) a grip on the surface of low-gravity planetoids. The helmet can also be worn under your right arm; a holding pose is integrated into the helmet and is triggered when you wear it.
June Dion’s Voyager 3b ensemble includes pretty much everything you need for your next Extra Vehicular Activity outing, “extra†role in that upcoming Michael Bay sci-fi extravaganza, or costume party. Please read the following fine print: Oxygen supply not included. Follow all safety precautions outlined in the owner’s manual. Management cannot be responsible for injury, dismemberment or death resulting from improper use. Open the pod bay doors, please, HAL. Boldly go.
L$140 at Bare Rose (Bare Rose 213, 40, 29). “Voyager 3â€, styled for women, is also available.
Photos taken on location at the International Space Station (Spaceport Alpha 141, 127, 451) and at the ground-level International Space Flight Museum (Spaceport Alpha 49, 78, 24).

Love <3 the post title.
It kind of came out of nowhere – it’s been ages since I’ve seen what I affectionately refer to as “The Motionless Picture”. I was happy with how it all came together.
Love me some Bare Rose, the styles are good and the price is always right!
Your pictures are wonderful. I love the romanticism and the imagination. it took me a while to realize it was from a certain video game program? Second Life? well, wheatever it is, you do good works that are like simple paintings
@matth thew – Thanks so much for your comment. I had a lot of fun putting this post together. It isn’t always easy to make the illustrations fun and interesting, much less artistic, when the necessary goal is to represent the clothing designs as they really look. But sometimes my additional, unspoken goal (add “at their best” after “clothing designs”) inspires me to take the trouble to search out a setting that ends up working better than I ever imagined. This was one of those times.
