Review: Blaze Columbia

I am going to start out this review by saying, I have not had this much fun with mixing and matching outfits in a long time. I’m not going to admit how much I spent at Blaze’s (though I’m sure you can figure it out if you really want to), but so many of his clothes were just to hard to pass up. Blaze has an overall excellent eye for design and fashion, making him a must stop for men on the lookout for excellent fashion. I was embarrased to admit that this was my first visit to his store, but it certainly won’t be my last.tuxbillboardblack.jpg

Where to start is a hard choice as there are so many cool things; so I will start with his newest item, the Regal Tuxedo. Just released this last week, the Regal Tuxedo, in Blaze’s own words, has more “presence” then your typical tux. With it’s striking long jacket this tuxedo is sure to bring compliments in any setting.

Not only is this a stunning tuxedo, but he also created not just your typical black, white, and gray colored tuxedo, he also created the “Special Edition” for all you guys out there who love the goth, dark, red colors this is specially made for you. It includes, Dark Red and Black vests, ties, and shirts. I don’t even play goth, and I love it. He also of course offers your typical colors, in black, white, and gray. Once again, TuxSE_001.jpgBlaze, I make my plea for a pinstripe version of this tuxedo.

This tux and all his other gorgeous tuxes, from traditional, with tails, and more, pair well with his additional colored vests and ties (which I couldn’t resist purchasing, who knows when I will need something different).

His Regal Tux billboard was right beside his “Pinstripe Tuxedo” and, being that I am a sucker for pinstripes, I had to purchase it as well. Once again another, excellent tuxedo. The pinstripe is more “traditional” in cut but of excellent quality. It includes open and closed jackets and once again, goes great with the other vests and ties. The Pinstripe Tuxedo is only about a month TuxPS_001.jpgold. if you love pinstripes like I do, go check it out!

When I turned the corner at his store, I knew I was again in trouble. There were his suits and other more casual dress clothes. He has an excellent suit called the, “Ultimate Wool Suit” not only is it gorgeous, but it comes in a total of seven different colors. Luckily for the indecisive, like myself, he offers a complete bundle that includes all seven colors and an additional sixteen colored shirts and ties. The colors range from your typical white, to blue, to gold, to maroon, and more.

ultimatebundle.jpgOh, and, the ties, I could go on about the ties. Blaze makes Flexi ties, not just your painted version. After trying a flexi tie, I’m not sure I can ever go back to the old version. Flexi ties just make things so much fun, they move when you move, they flop in the wind when you fly, If you want to stay satisified with the old “painted” tie, don’t try them, that’s my warning. Not only does he have the solid colored ties in his suit pack, he also has his combo pack of “designer” ties, these ones have fun (and sometimes crazy) patterns on them, for the days we want to look a little “unoriginal” or “funky”!

Blaze also has a very well made pack of “casual slacks” in a variety of colors for the barong.jpgmore casual days, you can of course pair them with a jacket if you like.

Besides the normal dress clothers Blaze also has a unique item that brings a touch of different to your outfit on those days you want to dress well but uniquely. This item is his Barong shirt, a dress piece from the Philipines; as always well executed and fun to wear. It comes with a variety of designs/patterns on the front of the shirt in black and white. Definitely consider picking these up for a unique edge to your wardrobe.

On the other side of his store he has his more casual offerings, with some fun and unique items among them. One of Blaze’s personal favorites is his “Safari” outfits (with matching women’s wear, like most of his clothes). This is a fun set with animal prints and your own personal “safari hat”.

Elsewhere on this wall he also has some leather jackets in black and red for those of you wanting to look like Neo (The Matrix) for the day, plus a well done leather biker’s jacket and some other items.

I could go on, but this review is getting rather long. All in all, in conclusion, if you are a serious fashion seeker then Blaze Columbia’s (Triumph: 100, 140, 251) store is a must stop for you. Well, I must run, I have more mixing-and-matching to try.

P.S. Most of the combo packs I mentioned (ties, safari, casual slacks, etc.) can be bought as individual items as well for those of you who like to pick and choose.
