Pirates: Variations on a theme [3]
October 31st, 2007 at 03:38pm Ryan Darragh
The air pirate fancies himself to be a dashing fellow. He likes to look smart while cruising the skies in his airship, always on the lookout for unwary innocents from whom to liberate negotiable currency, goods for trade, or other items of value. He is always unfailingly polite, even friendly, as he smoothly removes your wallet or purse from your person. He’s quite likely to tip his hat as he does so. You may even find yourself thanking him afterward.
In all actuality, he feels that he has never looked more dashing than in the new Trilogy Coat (L$200), created by Disembodied Hand of Steam Powered Industries. It’s the perfect addition to his rakish image. In his line of work, image can be everything.
The Trilogy Coat set includes jacket-layer coat top, prim cuffs, flexiprim coat bottom, prim face wrap or mask, and prim collar with and without neck wraps. The coat’s brown leather texture looks like it would feel smooth and buttery. Although the coat comes unfastened only, the front tab fasteners are unique and striking. Decorative cogwheel artwork graces the back–or is it in some way symbolic of his affiliation? The prim collar also adds squared-off shoulders, so proper sizing and postioning of this piece are essential in order to achieve the intended look.
A handy face wrap or mask helps to conceal his identity when engaging in roguish banditry or otherwise questionable acts, but doesn’t hide the gleeful twinkle in his eye. The collar with the neck wraps can also worn without the face wrap, if you prefer. All in all, the air pirate finds the Trilogy Coat to be a fine and stylish addition to his wardrobe. You should probably be glad that he already owns it–he’ll be less inclined to appropriate yours, should you encounter him “unofficially” boarding your private zeppelin.
Permissions for the jacket-layer coat are No Modify / No Copy / Transfer. Permission for all prim attachments are Modify / Copy / No Transfer.
