Overview: Bloody and bruised
I sagged against the ropes. Breath rasped in my throat, and I tensed as the cat came down again across my back. I would have pleaded for mercy, could I find the breath, though none would have given it. The boatswain shouted the count, and down came the cat once more. Pirates stood on either side of me, grinning and shouting. I took a grip on the ropes and yearned for unconsiousness.

Sand gritted against my feet. I wiped sweat from my eyes and attacked. The tiger roared and lunged, but I threw myself aside and its claws missed me. That time. I panted for air. My sword sliced across the beast’s leg, and as it collapsed, tendons cut, I limped forward to deliver the killing blow. I bowed to the cheering crowd, but it was sheer luck, and I knew it. Next time, things might well go the other way, and they would cheer even louder.

The man’s eyes were colorless, like ice. He never smiled. I never screamed, though I bit my lips hard enough to bleed. I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. As he carved each letter into my chest, I stared at his face, imagining what I would do to it if I weren’t chained down. I would smash it. I would destroy it. I would hurt him worse than he ever could hurt me.

“You’ll be fine,” said the doctor as he finished sewing me up. “Just try not to move around too much.” I grunted and slid off the table. If the gang came for me again, there wasn’t much I could do about that.
Back at the crash, I sacked out on the only available mattress and tried to sleep. Everything happened at night. Afternoons were the only time I could rest in the hope that they wouldn’t be looking for me. I considered one of the painkillers the doc’d given me. Decided against. They were worth more on the street, and I needed my head to be clear tonight.

Wow, second-man meets BDSM pulp mag! Next time, include where we can find date rape drugs and a nice studded butt plug…that guy could have suffered *so* much more…
Glad you liked it, Joshua.
Is it wrong that after reading this, that I’m a little turned on?
Yes, Justy. Very wrong.
Newbie question. Can you wear tatoos or scars over existing skins? I wanted to have a pentacle carved into the palm of my hand, wasn’t sure if that was possible.
Wrong in the BEST way. The very best way.
Josh, you definitely can. Most of the markings come on multiple clothing layers– gloves, shirt, socks, underwear, whatever– and they’re meant to be worn over skins.
A pentacle carved into your palm is absolutely possible, but because SL only has one arm template (the other arm is made by mirroring), it will end up on both hands. Alternatively, you can put it on a prim and attach it to your hand.
I’m guessing that as a newbie, you aren’t quite up to making that yourself. Often, designers will take commissions when they aren’t too busy. It might not hurt to look up some of the designers I highlighted here and get in touch.
