Outfit: The Weekender

Like the song says… “Working for the weekend…”
This outfit, which I’m calling The Weekender, is simply something I’d throw on without really worrying about **gasp!** having to look good. Although, the finished result shows anything but. Okay, I admit it. I’m guilty of the crime of being vain…XD
It’s one of those types of getups where the usual Jeans + Tee can be redone with a twist. More than the usual casual sets that one finds in either RL or SL, part of the look depends on what one makes of it. This look wouldn’t be out of place at a club or just cruising along doing nothing.

Instead of the ubiquitous rockband tee (and I’m not knocking ‘em, believe me I’ve got quite the collection) I went for some long tanks by !X2. They come as part of a set (including the computer, glasses, jeanshorts, jackets, and shoes (a veritable wardrobe in a box—mix and match anyone?). The computer is pretty cool to look at and can be held in left hand or visible when chatting (lags my system like decaf on the brain but fun anyway dang it). The entire set, called Urban Warrior, can be bought at !X2 (Hamlin 147,27,139) for 2000L$.
The jeans are personal favorites…said because I’ve got a fatal weakness for dark-rinse denim. Something about that slimming effect I guess… The set, called Rainy Day Dark by Rockwell Maltz, is from Made Men (Made 96,171,27). The price on the set is 350L$.
The sandals are Boho Sandals in Dark Brown by Fallingwater Cellardoor for Shiny Things (Shiny Falls 164,177,37). At 250L$, the box contains multiple sizes so fitting shouldn’t be a problem…(although the noob in me did have a little difficulty figuring them out). The Nico bracelet, in black for 150L$ features hand-drawn beads. The black Compass bag (250L$) is beautifully drawn and detailed.

The hoodie is one of Nylon Pinkney’s designs. It’s brown leather from Nylon Outfitters (Miramare 192, 166,26) for 120$L. The texture has a very worn in and comfortable-looking feel to it, like something that you’ve worn and loved for years. Worn leather **ahem** nuff said.
The necklace is Polyester Partidge’s silver minirobot from Yummy (Tableau 98,172,0) for 120L$. X_o (could not resist the cute…)

I bought this outfit not once, not twice but three times, just to feel that initial consumerist buzz over and over again. Loving your work dude.
