I’ll keep this short and sweet. This week marked the appearance of some really fun, satirical and all around distinguished articles on the men’s fashion scene. Being a joker-at-heart, as soon as I saw Gadget Gobo and Caroline Apollo’s comical devices I ran down to their stores to take a peek for myself - laughing all the way. Sometimes we all need a little ludicrously funny distraction for our wardrobes. As always designers for all categories of items put out primo content whether you seek the ludicrous or the distinguished that we just can’t help but share with the masses.

While chasing answers to a reader inquiry I had the great fortune to stumble across a skin which may be something worth investigating for those looking for a non-athletic touch.

Don’t be fooled by its dapper appearance. The strapped suede attach� drops embarrassing items like Busty Magazine, an Erect RX prescription and more. The accidentally discarded items are interactive (FYI, they disappear after approximately 60 seconds) and touching those may result in an even more awkward situation. By touch, the menu-driven carrying case will allow the wearer to choose how often items are dropped (30, 60 or 100 seconds) and the hold animation can also be toggled on and off. These five eye-catching rings with wood finish have been paired with angled and round-cut gems. The wood provides an alternative to the more common use of metallic bands, creating an organic feel. “Fugitive” Coat (500L)

Reflecting the character of her “Road Agent” coats, Posy Trudeau designs another heavy leather coat in black with high collaring that obscures the lower portion of the wearer’s face. Posy’s newest full-length jacket has more of a militant presence this time around with a stark skull graphic on the back, bullet cut-outs on the upper arms, cross pistol imagery over the right breast panel and (Greek) cross button embellishments along the entire length of the piece. The coat is comprised of a jacket and shirt layer and several prim attachments and includes both large and small sizing.

Zip-front athletic track jackets in two different stylings in neko or Asian themes. “Hiss”, “Purr” and “Meow” in blackletter text emotes kitty’s mood across the chest in red, blue and grey respectively. Asian motifs include a warrior (red), neko (white) and dragon (green) - all bearing a character on the front that reflects the subject on the back. Get down and dirty with two new pairs of crud encrusted jeans that have never seen the inside of a washing machine. The dark blue “Grease Monkey” denims are streaked and smeared with mechanic’s oil, while the black “Meltdown” jeans bear some indistinguishable white spatterings (don’t ask, don’t tell). Fortunately, both pairs come with a unstained versions that haven’t been sullied by the wearer’s lax lifestyle.

Focusing below the belt Truth sets out some men’s legwear: knee-length abrased shorts and microfiber cargos. The dogged black shorts come packaged with a leather belt with oversized ring studs that has tarnished metal components. This belt can also be purchased separately for 60L. Loose-fit unisex cargos are designed in three colours - navy, coal and olive - and designed to have a breathable tone.

Keeping it consistent with two more male hairstyles for his single-dye line this week, Garbage brings us windswept looks. “John” has a lighthearted appeal with tousled bangs and tidy styling along the back and sides. “Shane” is a straight-brushed shag that extends a little beyond the usual length in the collection.
