New: Skater sneaks @ KK Outfitters
January 30th, 2007 at 02:56pm Ryan Darragh
Designer Arycon Fasching of KK Outfitters makes some of my favorite sneakers in SL–his high-tops and newer low-tops are fun interpretations of classic styles. Now he’s added skateboarding sneaks to his Slicks line of shoes, and it’s been worth the wait because they’re beautiful! Arycon’s new “Strykers” skater sneaks feature a tongue at the shoe heel, full prim laces with bow, plastic end caps on the laces, metallic grommets, sleek swoop logos on the sides, and realistic bumpy sole textures. These are great-looking shoes that really benefit from careful attention to prim and texture detailing. Although they are currently available only in snappy Black and Gray (pictured), Arycon reports that more color schemes are in the works, including Tan, Brown, Gray, White and Olive Green. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see ‘em!
I love the shape and lines of these shoes, so classically casual in appearance but carefully designed, and the way the bright white laces pop against the deep black uppers. And the laces will never get dirty! These are perfect for the skater in your life–or the skater in you.
The Stryker sneakers are available sized for men and women, and demos are available in the store so you can try before you buy. Priced at L$250 per pair and available at KK Outfitters (Plush Kappa 96, 158, 22).

*sigh*
I have had to seriously keep away from KK Outfitters in the past because I have to muster all the zen energy I can channel in an effort to resist buying all the available colours for the Chucks styles. And now there’s a new shoe style? No system of inner restraint can save me now.
