New: Sculpted shades @ TESLA

Although it’s pissing down rain today for me in RL, luckily I have the escape of SL, the virtual “endless summer,” if that’s what I’m in the mood for.  To accommodate my need for escapism, Tesla Miles was kind enough to release her new “Enchant” sunglasses this week at TESLA.  I’ve tried out some other sculptie glasses, but these are the first I’ve really liked, and I think they’re well worth the brief wait while the sculpted prims assume their final shape.  They’re billed as unisex, and although I don’t have a female alt to try them on, the clean, classic design looks as though it would indeed work equally well for the ladies.  As for me, these were exactly what I needed for my shift at the lifeguard station.  Fortunately there was a steady supply of drinks decorated with little paper umbrellas.

The frames are simple and sleek, rounded in the center and squared-off at the temples, with a bold bridge across the nose.  The charcoal-black but still transparent lenses are textured with “baked-in” reflections and highlights that are subtle rather than in your face, but nicely realistic.  It’s amazing what can be done with just seven prims these days.

Permissions are Modify / Copy / No Transfer.  L$249 a pair; a L$1 demo is available, so you can take a good look before you whip out your virtual checkbook.  Given the curved earpieces, it may not be possible to fit them precisely to every possible avatar shape, but if you wear them under prim hair that should matter much less.
