New: Round Two @ Casa Del Shai

Shai Delacroix has been making me kind of crazy…in a good way.  All of her clothing designs are great, and her first batch of stuff for men thrilled me and left me wanting more.  How long must I wait?  At last, Shai has released her second set of menswear items for the guys of SL!  Not only was it worth the wait, the new selection makes it unquestionably clear that she’s got the stuff and is in for the long haul.  Wait ’til you see what she’s put together for us this time out!

The Heath Jacket has a great, rough texture and bright buttons that catch the eye.  The matching plaid scarf (all part of the jacket layer) blends seamlessly with the included flexi prim scarf tails–the perfect accent!  (Of course you can wear the jacket and scarf without the optional scarf tails–but why?)  This jacket comes in Charcoal, Olive and Wood and is priced at L$200 each or L$550 for the pack of all three colors.  Here I’m wearing the Heath Jacket in Olive with the new Flaunt Jeans in Westwood.  The Flaunt Jeans are insanely comfy-looking, with a rich texture that looks soft, worn and stylishly faded.  They come in Alchemy, Coal, Lumberjack and Westwood (see the other pictures in this post for the other colors) and are priced at L$180 a pair, L$600 for the pack of all four colors.  Also included is a prim belt (pictured below), which is moddable for size and position to allow you to find your perfect fit.

The Casino Jacket features a smart design with a beautiful texture, contrasting color trim on chest pocket and lapels, and shiny buttons.  This bad boy is perfect for those upcoming holiday parties.  Here you see me in the Casino Jacket in Blue, paired with the Flaunt Jeans in Alchemy and Shai’s Basic Ringer Tee in Twilight.  (Be sure to check the corner of the shop for the L$1 “freebie” pack of tees in Deep, Orange, Pink, Twilight and Leaf!)  These jackets are available in Black, Blue and Evergreen for L$190 each or L$550 for the pack of three.

It’s worth noting that you can pretty much let yourself go crazy with mixing and matching all these items, as the colors are perfectly and carefully chosen with just that in mind.  In fact, although I haven’t tried this yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if several of the new items pair up nicely with some from Shai’s previous release as well.

The Irish Sweater and Shirt “sets” (actually designed as single clothing items on the jacket layer) come in tucked and untucked versions in Antique, Indigo, Midnight, Wisteria and Clover.  They are priced at L$200 each or L$900 for the pack of all five colors.  In the first picture, I’m wearing the Irish Sweater and Shirt (tucked version) in Antique with the Flaunt Jeans in Coal and the prim belt I told you about earlier.  As with other prim belts, I think this works better with tucked-in shirts than with jacket items, as belts usually look kind of odd running over jackets or loose shirttails.

The sweaters have some highlighting and shading on the chest.  This gives the fabric texture a pretty sheen and suggests some definition where the layers might otherwise conceal the great shape you’re in.  ;)  This second picture shows me wearing the Irish Sweater and Shirt (untucked version) in Indigo with the Flaunt Jeans in Lumberjack.
