I have not yet found a "Brotherhood of the Wolf" coat available for purchase, but I did run across the website for AbbyShot, a specialty clothier that has created some replica items. Apparently they solicit suggestions and track interest as they decide what projects to pusue next. One idea mentioned some time back (wow, February 2006) is a "Brotherhood" coat. You can check out the newsletter item here (scroll toward the bottom), and contact them to express your interest. Good luck!

I also like the Brotherhood of the wolf film, especially the long leather coats at the start of the film. I was wondering if any one knew where I would be able to purchase a replica piece, i have been looking everywhere on the net.

Cool - thank you for the tips, Posy!! I am excited (and still a bit nervous, hehe) to try and see if I can make that minor adjustment.

Needs to be done, however - as that coat is just way too nice to collect dust in my inventory. ;-)

And please keep making men's clothing!!!!

If your pants show through the coat only when you're standing still, you shouldn't have much trouble adjusting to cover that. More problematic for me is when only certain movements or animated AO stances cause show-through. After a certain point, I think you just have to accept it and move on--it's an imperfect second world, after all. ;)

I understand that prim skirts often come with "modesty pants" (terminology? help me out here) with the same pattern/texture as the skirt prims, to help avoid or minimize show-through. Not sure how effective this would be with men's coats, as we don't necessarily want to wear pants in the same finish as the coat.

Hi Wrath...

When selling clothing, you kind of have to choose between making your items "copy" or "trans". You never want both or people will just give copies of your clothes away (sorry if that was obvious...lol)

Anyhow, everything I sell is mod, so you should be able to mod the bottom of your coat, either by scaling it larger overall, or rotating so the back is a little higher... I have an apple bottom booty, so I have to mod pretty much every prim skirt that I buy this way. And if you mess up, just IM me and I'll happily give you a new one :-)

After reading this review at work yesterday, as soon as I got home I logged into SL with the only goal being to find this store and buy this coat!

I have just been feeling to need to find men's clothing which do not look painted on - I want layers, and detail and movement - - and finally, it's here! (And there needs to be more men's clothing with prims, I say!)

The CIVVIES store in and of itself is really cool, I love how it's set up. Smaller than I thought, as I had hoped to find numerous more items of a quality such as the coat was described. But I'll settle for quality over quantity any day.

Anyway, I bought the coat (easily my most expensive clothing item in SL to date) and it is very nice! Until now, I've only had a flexi tie and a flexi scarf, so having a coat with flexi action was such a wonderful change for me. It doesn't flow too much as to look flimsy, it actually looks like it has weight and substance to it, which is realistic.

Also, I had several girls right away comment they loved the detail and could not stop alt+zooming in on it, hehe.

My only issue is that the seat of my pants were visible through the back of the jacket when I stood still. So, I am going to have to try and figure out how to adjust that. My main concern being that the jacket is NO COPY and if I screw something up, I've wasted a lot of money. I am hoping I can get some tips from Posy on how to make such adjustments, either here or in-world before I start messing with it, hehe.

Great review, Ryan... Great product, Posy. Thanks to you both!
