New: Retro shirts @ Moonshine

A little while back I reviewed some great, simple sweaters by Shelly Toonie of Moonshine.  Since then, she has continued to release a handful of new men’s designs every week or so.  This time out, she caught my eye with this collection of retro styled shirts.  These feature a strong two-tone design with nice detailing and eye-catching graphics.  The Cocktail design I’m wearing here reminds me somewhat of a shirt I have in RL that’s always a big hit at cocktail parties.  Too bad I can’t bring Shelly’s shirts with me into RL and further increase my popularity.  ;)  Oh well–I can always just serve more drinks.

These slick vintage designs happily press our nostalgia buttons while still feeling fresh and new.  And vertical stripes and blocking are always slimming, so everybody wins!

The Hotrod design you see here is another winner.  Although not shown, this one also features artwork on the back of the shirt, and you know what a sucker I am for that.  As you see, in addition to the different artwork themes, the shirts themselves are different colors, so you can mix and match them with different pants and accessories.

This third design is called Pixel Pinup, and it showcases a bevy of Marilyn-esque bombshells.  These shirts all come in shorter tucked versions and longer untucked versions, so you can work it for different looks or add a jacket or coat if it gets chilly.  (Although why you’d want to cover up these gorgeous shirts is beyond me.)  These three shirts are priced at L$95 each.

This last item isn’t part of the retro shirts collection, but I’m including it here because it’s also new at Moonshine and also features great artwork with a period feel.  The Voodoo Retro Pullover has a simple, long-sleeved design with large peasant-style stitching–look closely at the shoulder seams and you’ll see it.  I love the angry tiki god artwork on the back!  This one can be yours for just L$65.
