New: Messenger bags @ Shop Therapy

Those of you who have been reading along for a while already know of and may remember my fetish for things I can wear on my back.  Now, I have a good reason for this.  It makes sense if you think about it, I promise.  In SL, we spend a fair amount of time looking at our own backs–far more than we do in RL, let’s be honest.  It’s nice to have something to admire other than the plain back of a shirt or jacket.  Some have suggested (ahem) that I’m easily distracted; I say I’m just trying to avoid boredom and add some spice to life.

That’s my story and I’m sticking with it. 

Fortunately for me–and for you, too, I’m not totally selfish!–Proda Jie has come to the rescue with her new collection of canvas messenger bags.  They’re available in twelve styles that feature different colors and artwork.  Up top you see the bag with simple but classic stripes in Maroon & Tan; at right I’m sporting the style called “The Walk” in Black.  Other styles include “Circles” in Brown and “Shop Therapy” in Orange.  The canvas cloth texture is so realistic that it seems like you could touch and feel it, and the detailing is all carefully done, from the heavy stitching to the dangling straps on the back.  There’s even a mobile phone clipped to the chest/shoulder strap in front, just above the snap closure–handy!

Permissions are No Modify / Copy / No Transfer, but each bag is touch scripted for menu-controlled resizing.  Be sure to make a backup copy first, so you can delete the resize scripts when you’re satisfied with your tweaking.  The scripts can contribute to lag if left in the object, forgotten but still running.

Proda’s messenger bags are currently available individually for L$300 each, but she has plans for discounted multi-packs in the future.  You can get yours at Shop Therapy (Big Star 71, 95, 21).  Proda mentioned to me that the sim where her shop is located will be remodeled in the near future, but she will work to keep the transitional time to a minimum.  She is presently looking into a temporary alternate shop location for the remodel interval.  If you can’t find her shop, check her Picks or let one of us know–we’ll get you there.
