New: Men’s hair @ Mystikal Hair Designs

scruff_front.jpgMystikal Faddoul has just released two great new entries in her men’s hair line at Mystikal Hair Designs.  The quality of design and execution is equally high on both, but as you can see they couldn’t be much more different in look and feel.

“Scruff” is a shorter style, designed by Mystikal to resemble the real life hairstyle of a good friend.  I like the impression it gives of being nicely cut but casually mussed — it’s neat without being slicked back or formal.  The flexi strands and bangs in the front add life and interest.  This is a great style that works really well for me, and I know I’ll be wearing it regularly ( “Drew” may finally get some time off :) ).

scruff_back.jpg“Scruff” is priced at L$250 and is available in 18 colors including Copper (pictured), Red, Brown, Black, Blonde and Mahogany.

pony_front.jpg“Ash Pony” is a longer ponytail style, and more of a stretch for me.  I’ve been liking the idea of trying out some longer hair, but hadn’t found anything that was working for me.  I recently bought some Edwardian-style formalwear for a partnership celebration, and when I saw that this ponytail comes in copper I thought, “This…could…work!”  Mystikal describes this as a unisex (originally designed for a man, strong enough for a woman), fantasy/anime style.  The long flexi strands in back are gathered nicely by an understated, dark colored tie with subtle texture.  The hair in front and on the sides is fairly long too, with strands falling down over the ears and almost over the eyes.  The hair is moddable so you can tweak the placement of individual strands to your preference and for a better fit to your avatar, and copiable so you can save a backup copy to guard against tragedy.  “Ash Pony” is priced at L$250 and is available in ten colors including Copper (pictured), Red, Brown, Black, Blonde and Chocolate.

pony_back.jpgChanging the color and style of your avatar’s hair can make a huge difference not only in how your avatar appears to others but also in how you yourself feel — I think your choice in hair is just as intimate and subjective as your choice in skin.  It’s a good idea to try on a demo, if available, before committing to the purchase of new hair, to minimize the possibility of disappointment.  Mystikal has just moved into a brand new shop space plans to make demos available as she is able.  In the meantime, she invites you to IM her directly and she will be happy to provide demos upon request.  She also offers custom fittings and can do custom colors and, in some cases, custom designs as her time allows.

Both styles are available at Mystikal Hair Designs (Bali Hai 91, 138, 30).  Be sure to check out the other men’s styles while you’re there!

i went through ur site and its gr8 simply bcoz of innovative ideas. one thing which is insufficient is more “uncnventional” long hair styles for men. i have shoulder length hair and planning to grow it till waist, and for that we dont have different styles for trial. either i ‘ve to go for pony tails or bunn or leave it open which can cause dandruff or make them dirty. pl provide me some more hairstyles for the same
