It’s always a good day when Mystikal Faddoul announces a new release in her line of men’s hair–she’s one of my favorite hair designers in SL. The style I’m featuring here is called “Chico.” This is a casual, youthful style, short in the back and on the sides, slightly longer in front. Overall, it’s pleasantly asymmetrical, yet still well balanced. Carefully placed flexi sections enhance the realism and add life. The tousled strands in front and on the sides, along with the spikey hint of a “rooster tail” in the back, keep “Chico” from looking too sleek or stuffy.
The textures Mystikal uses in her hair designs are nicely detailed and shaded, and she isn’t afraid to use bright colors, even for the more realistic tones. I love the bright red you see here. (A deeper red is also available.) Don’t be surprised if you see me wearing this one more or less exclusively for the indefinite future–I like it that much!

Thanks both for the review and, more importantly, the pointer to Mystikal. This style seems near perfect, but then so do some of the others.
It almost makes me not want to bother looking at other hair stylists.
Mystikal probably wouldn’t mind, but don’t cut yourself off from other hair creators! Another neat, clean-cut style I just tried on (although it’s not new) is “Pro” by Aleri Darkes, available at Diversity Hair. I’ll try to wear it in my next post so you can see it, or just drop by the shop and try on a demo.
