New: Manly wear @ Last Call

March 17th, 2007 at 09:00am Catero Revolution

For those suffering from an unwanted “limp wrist” syndrome, Last Call has concocted an effective Rx guaranteed to stiffen those radiocarpal joints. In a recent release of outdoorsy and street savvy gear designed to stroke your sense of machismo, LC provides you with clothes you can be confident in while chopping wood, whitewater rafting, or simply walking your bull mastiffs through the park in.

lastcallhomme_snapshot_008.jpgBoardwalk (275L). Take yourself off the beaten path with these plaid cargo shorts with toggle-tied prim pockets and vintage flecked t-shirt. A nice casual alternative to classic denim, Boardwalk may be ideal for the frat boy or outdoors man looking to throw back a few beers in the woods.

The tee is offered in untucked and half-tucked versions - the latter adding a nice twist that meets the usual tucked and untucked shirt options at a happy medium. With the screened graphics on its reverse the shirt is reminiscent of a memento picked up in remembrance of one’s travels. The plaid patterning of the long shorts lends itself to an air of sophistication. All-in-all the outfit is created for a look of comfort paired with a carefree style.

Pictured left in original colours, Boardwalk is also available in berry stain, jungle, noticed, steel and ultramarine.

lastcallhomme_snapshot_009.jpgJohnny Suede (275L). Move over Race Bannon , this Johnny is all grown up and ready for his own serial adventures - with more than enough prim pocket space for carrying compact exploring devices to support the lifestyle of an Indiana Jones-esque pathfinder.

The crisp tan cargos have been scuffed and worn, showing they have served well in numerous run-ins with the nefarious Lizard Men. These belted pants include a regular version in addition to one with floral stenciling on the lower right leg. The floral theme is continued as a consciously obscured silkscreened illustration on the black tee - the texture of which has a raw silk feel.

Johnny Suede is available in 2 other colour combinations (pictures not available): deep red shirt with slate grey cargos and navy shirt with olive cargos.

lastcallhomme_snapshot_011.jpgSeul (250L). The name translating to “alone” in French, this outfit is definitely a uniform for the independent male who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty - as indicated by the paint-gobbed jeans. The semi-glossed highlighting of the nylon vest bring attention to pectoral curvature. Both shirt and non-shirt versions are included. You can combine the vest with any pair of jeans or pants in your wardrobe by purchasing coloured singles in barn, dolphin, moss, night sky and steel at 135L each (please note that the vest singles do not include the jeans).

This outfit will appeal to the rugged, confident and colloquial “Everyday Man” who can sandpaper a 2X4 with his bare hands and who is a permanent fixture at his local home improvement supply store.

lastcallhomme_snapshot_010.jpgStreetwise (275L). The name implies a certain metropolitan sensibility. The look is completed by a fleece zip-up with tee, a prim hood attachment and long cargo shorts in flectar camo. The classic collegiate hoodie is screened with rising phoenix imagery offset by the urban guerrilla appeal of the deep-pocketed military cargos. The odd couple-like balance of the two creates a modern street urchin vibe. The two pieces which have been thrown together in a seemingly random fashion choice compliment one another with a nonchalant look that’s effortlessly stylish. Great for strolling, cycling or skateboarding through the downtown core. Wearing this will definitely give the impression that you know the layout of the city streets like the back of your hand.

Pictured here in red, Streetwise is also available in blue, grey and olive themes.

lastcallhomme_snapshot_012.jpgAs always, highly articulated texturing and carefully constructed prim detailing add to LC’s visually tactile collection. Fabrics, style and design create and impression of comfortable and natural-fit clothing. As LC’s ensembles are always offered in a variety of colour options, purchasing entire sets will maximize opportunities for mix-and-match. All shirts have been created in the jacket layer for added waist coverage.

As an added bonus, keep your eyes peeled when browsing in the men’s section for a pair of free Aruba Beach flip flops (1L).

Make a trip to Last Call to revitalize those slacking joints through wardrobe therapy much to your chiropractor’s chagrin at Dazzle 59, 65, 22.
