New: Madras shirts @ Shai Guys

Madras_blueberry.jpgSo, after reading Nick’s review of Shai Delacroix’s new Shai Guys line of casual menswear, I couldn’t wait to get over there and pick up a few things. I love the style Shai brings to her men’s clothing, and the quality of workmanship is impeccable. Her instincts are right on–these designs are a great choice when you want to look casual but still make an impression. I dropped by the store again last night (do I really have everything I want?) and was lucky enough to bump into Shai herself. In addition to being a great designer she’s a really fun conversationalist! She was still fussing with layout of the shop, and it was great to see her paying so much attention to her customers’ shopping experience. Her friend Andy was there too, wearing a great Madras shirt. When Shai mentioned it was one of her new designs, I was all ears. She couldn’t wait to tell me all about it and was kind enough to give me a sample for review, as it wasn’t out for sale yet.

In this pic I’m wearing the Shai Madras Shirt in Blueberry. This comes in three flavors: tucked (shirt layer), untucked (jacket layer), and unbuttoned (jacket layer, pictured). Also included is a simple white Men’s Ringer Tee (shirt layer) that you can layer with the unbuttoned version. Although the price is not yet determined, Shai promises these will be out for sale by this weekend in a selection of great colors. Now you’ve got one more reason to drop by Casa de Shai (Deimos 240, 43, 39).
