New: Leezard jewelry @ Mhaijik Things

July 16th, 2007 at 06:17pm Ryan Darragh

leezard_set_gold.jpgleezard_necklace_detail.jpgYou may remember designer Mhaijik Guillaume’s Gecko Collection of men’s jewelry from some time back.  (If not, now is a fine time to take a look.)  Mhaijik’s new “Leezard” designs feature shiny precious metals, polished natural stones, and stylized metalwork designs that may at first seem abstract, but closer inspection reveals the essential reptile.  The all-prim Leezard is based on a RL sketch by Mhaijik.  The pieces shown here make use of warm gold and rich amber; also available in silver with blue apatite beads.

leezard_necklace_gold.jpgBeautiful and whimsical at the same time, the choker-style Leezard Pendant Necklace fits easily and comfortably due to its thoughtfully curved design.  The more elaborate Leezard Leezard Leezard Bracelet presents a trio of lizards ranged along the beadwork, as though sunning on a warm rock.  These two pieces are available together in a set for L$300.

leezard_bracelet_ring.jpgThe bracelet is also available in a slightly smaller size (L$150)–the larger bracelet is moddable, but can only be sized down so much, no doubt due to already very small prim detailing.  The Leezard Double Ring (L$75), shown here in Gold, also comes in Silver and Pewter finishes.

All items can be found at Mhaijik Things (Pheosia 56, 227, 152).

Even the small size is *HUGE* you can resize it up but not down to a size that is wearable, I’d hate to think what the large was like.

    Same with necklaces.

This designer needs to learn to build small, and I mean real small, so they fit people other than your run of the mill 8′ SL male.

I encourage you also to share your concerns directly with Mhaijik, so she can work with you. I’m not a big guy, and I didn’t have any concerns with size or fit of these items, but I do like my bracelets a little big so they don’t slide through my wrists as my arms change position. And anyway we’re all different. :) I know that Mhaijik wants her customers to be satisfied and would welcome hearing from you.

The small size gem and leezard bracelet I sell separately fits me and I am a lil Av - I must check maybe I dropped the wrong version in the box.
