New: Leather jacket by Nihil Graves

tiger_tank_jacket_closed_close.jpgYou’ve probably noticed that I’ve got kind of a thing for coats and jackets.  Designer Nihil Graves was previously unknown to me, but Nihil’s new “Tiger Tank Jacket” really got my attention when I spotted it in the shop while browsing around yesterday.  The clear, detailed leather texture almost creaks as you move, it’s so realistic.  Signs of loving wear show that the leather is supple and comfortable, not stiff with newness.  The magic doesn’t stop there, though–a variety of prim attachments make this much more than just an afterthought you throw on as you run out the door.

tiger_tank_jacket_open.jpgtiger_tank_jacket_back.jpgThe leather jacket garment is provided on both the shirt and jacket layers, but there’s no difference–this is a waist-length jacket, and the jacket is the same on both layers.  Of course the jacket-layer garment allows you to wear a shirt underneath.  The short length results in less-than-complete coverage when worn with low-rise jeans, but as you see here the prim belt can help to bridge that gap.  Photo-sourced textures are equally impressive front and back; the shiny leather catches the light and gleams subtly along the folds.

tiger_tank_jacket_cuffs_belt.jpgPrim attachments include cuffs, belt, shoulder loops with snaps, and high stand-up collar.  The collar comes in both open (above) and closed (at top) versions, and the open collar has flexi straps that move slightly when you do.  Permissions on all the jacket’s pieces are Modify / Copy / No Transfer, so prim attachments can be re-sized to fit your avatar if needed.  The leather texturing on the prim components is a perfect match for the jacket–when properly sized and fitted, it all blends almost seamlessly.

tiger_tank_jacket_no_collar.jpgThe jacket’s collar is nicely finished enough that it can be worn without the prim collar.  However, the two high collars are so gorgeous that I myself can’t imagine foregoing them.  My only dilemma will be which one of them to wear?

Nihil’s ”Tiger Tank Jacket” is priced at just L$200.  For such an elaborate item, this is an great, even a bargain price.

Available at NIHILISMOST ”Military-Trash-Clothing” (Amat 35, 53, 23).

Nice jacket! I went over and also bought a pair of pants. Everything seems to have wonderful textures.

Thanks for your introduction. Personally, I appreciated the designer hard work. But this not a real good design as the overall shape, a bit short in length, and over dress for the prims as they really lost of harmony to the SL’s environment tone. I could be better. Besides, TP in this difficulty time in SL, it will be sure living a messy lifestyle wherever after TP. I bought one, only wear one in the shop for my curiosity and won’t consider to wear twice in the public.
