New: Henkei tattoo @ FORM Gear
I’ve had my eye on the Henkei Tattoo Series by Zabitan Assia of FORM Gear for a while now. The artwork for all of the earlier entries in this series has been intricate and amazing, but the design work on the new addition, seventh in the series, especially wowed me. I decided I was ready to move beyond the (more or less) discreet tattoos I’ve been wearing and try something with more substance and presence. This gorgeous upper-body tattoo–with detailed artwork available to cover the arms, shoulders, collarbone, and back–is just the inspiration I needed.
Zab was a little mysterious when I asked him about inspirations for the artwork. “Just the typical dragons I like to use. I use them a lot…[as a] symbol of power, strength, and [they] just generally look cool.” What, you can’t make up a story? “HAHAHA! If there was one worth tellin’, I’d tell ya.Â
”
Eagle-eyed readers may have noticed that earlier I referred to “available” artwork. The Henkei Tattoo Series has been developed and designed with maximum flexibility and wearability in mind. Each tattoo set includes many different articles of clothing (jackets, shirts, undershirts) for your wearing and layering convenience. Also, in each type of clothing layer, the tattoo is broken down into its component parts: front and back, back only, back and arms, and so on. All layers are mod/copy/no transfer, so you can make backup copies, save them into outfit folders, or modify to customize the look of the tattoo–say, by shortening the length of the sleeves on a shirt layer.
In the pictures here, I am simply wearing the undershirt layer that includes all the tattoo artwork–there’s no way for me to show you all the combinations that are possible, you just have to try it out for yourself (or let your imagination do the work for you). Because of this carefully planned flexibility, it’s possible to mix and match sections from two or more tattoos from the Henkei Series to create a unique combination for your avatar. You may also be able to wear your Henkei tattoo with other tattoos you already have, depending on what layer options they offer and their location.
This tattoo and others in the Henkei Tattoo Series are available for L$1500 each at FORM Gear (Endicott 196, 56, 507).
Bottom line… Zab’s tattoo work is freakin’ amazing.
I had to grab this one the other week……. wicked shit!! (thats good lol)

God man, this is wicked. I love the dark and modern sytle of the tattoo, for sure one of the coolest I have seen in a while. I’m a 100% tattoo fanatic. Well done.
