New: Cruizers lowtops @ Desert Moon Clothiers

Although Cat mentioned these new sneaks by Dragontat Zagato in last week’s new fashion digest, they’re so cool I had to give them some extra play. I’m a total sucker for casual shoes anyway, so DT pretty much had me at hello. The new DMC Cruizers come in a positively ridiculous variety of colors and patterns (only a few are pictured here), so you should have no trouble finding a pair that will perfectly express your inner skaterboy. Go on–you know you want to.
Here (and above, at left) you see the “8 Ball” Cruizers in White. The cloth/canvas texture on these is quite excellent, and the flaming 8-ball artwork is highly detailed and holds up well under close inspection. I’ve seen plenty of sneakers and other shoes that have realistic laces, but these are the first I’ve seen to feature eyelets for laces, yet remain casually unlaced. The result is a uniquely loose and comfy look. The “8 Ball” Cruizers are also available in Black.
The blue ”Denim” Cruizers are pictured at top right, and here you see the “Atlantic” style. The fabric texture on the “Denim” shoes is simple but very realistic, and the subtle plaid used on the “Atlantic” style is just one of the several different patterns that are available. If I remember correctly, the count was 20 different styles the day I was in the shop, but for all I know there are even more now! DT has thoughtfully included two sets of shoes with each purchase, one sized to fit feet at size 20 or lower, another for feet sized from 21 to 50. This is a helpful practice that I’m glad to see turning into something of a trend. Let’s hope it continues!
Last but in no way least, here you see the “Flaming Heart” style in Black. The design artwork here is again highly detailed, and the deep black fabric shoe makes for a crisp contrast with the bright white ruber toes, ridged soles, and even the shiny silver eyelets. The “Flaming Heart” Cruizers are also available in White.
Each pair of Cruizers features a discreet DMC brand tag at the top of the tongue, just like many RL shoes. A scattering of small DMC logos also appears on the soles.
You can pick these up for just L$150 a pair at Desert Moon Clothiers (Goodelli 228, 193, 25).

Ryan, I’m so glad you got an opportunity to go into in-depth with these shoes. The variety offered really has a wide appeal to different tastes.
Nice styling in the intro pic!

Hah! They look just like Ed Hardy shoes; I’m surprised this wasn’t mentioned in the article. Keep up the good work!

Can you branch out a little on who you blog? You’re becoming predictable.

Cat and I are always happy to receive suggestions from readers regarding new items and designers. The reality is that this is not our full-time job, we can put in only so many hours a day, and there may well be things you’re aware of that we’re not. So let us know! Also, if you’d like to take a stab at covering designs in areas that Cat and I don’t cover, drop me an IM in-world and let me know.
Thanks for reading!
