New: Cocktails for gentlemen @ Maximum Minimum

rob_roy.jpgAnd now for something completely sophisticated.

If you’re anything like me, your inventory is littered with freebie cocktails.  I think the freebies in my cocktail collection can charitably be described as being of varying quality.  For the most part these have been good enough (and some are actually quite nice).  Even so, I have at times found myself wishing for greater variety, a little more elegance.  To the rescue comes Maximilian Milosz with his new collection of 25 classic cocktails.  Whether you’re in the mood for something refined, like a Manhattan or a Martini, or something more casual–Sex on the Beach, anyone?–you’ll find that Max has a suitable libation ready for your refreshment.  And, unlike many of the items featured on this blog, they are without exception unisex and look just great on the ladies.  ;)

dry_martini_detail.jpgThe cocktails are all highly detailed, with impressive texture artwork.  The Dry Martini is especially elegant with its glistening, almost-crystalline surface and bright olive garnish…my personal preference, although a twist is also lovely.  Each drink includes a dignified built-in hold pose, so you’ll never find yourself waving your drink around dramatically but wastefully as your AO cycles.  If you look closely, you’ll occasionally see some subtle animation, too–the Bellini’s champagne flute bubbles rather prettily.

bloodymary_maitai_mojito.jpgHere you see the Bloody Mary, Mai Tai and Mojito.  Careful attention has been paid to the garnishes, which is just as it should be.  Garnishes aren’t merely accents, after all, but in many cases integral parts of the drink recipe.  The Bloody Mary’s celery stalk, the Mai Tai’s paper parasol and the Mojito’s mint leaves and lime wheel are all quite properly placed and nicely detailed.  Consider also the Gimlet, Gin & Tonic and Gin Fizz; the Manhattan, Whisky Sour and Old Fashioned; the Cuba Libre, Bellini and Tom Collins.  Although I’m not able to feature all 25 cocktails here, they’re all rezzed and available for your inspection in Max’s shop.

Available individually and in packs in your choice of two different permissions settings.  Modify / No Copy / Transfer cocktails are priced at L$49 each or L$799 for the pack of all 25; Modify / Copy / No Transfer are L$149 each, L$2399 for the pack.

Drink up at Maximum Minimum (Maximum Minimum 240, 129, 24).

These cocktails are fantastic! They’re both well-executed and a respectable selection, for the most part … and this comes from a persnickety cocktailian. :)

They also work really well with my AO, even complementing the gestures I use. Very, very cool.

Now, can we get him to make it 26 and add a Sazerac?
