New: Casual wear @ Random

Garbage Prototype has been mind-bogglingly busy out at Random these last few weeks, first with a series of new hairstyles (read about one here) and now some new casual clothing designs for the guys that are right up my alley.  They seem a natural for putting together as an outfit, and that’s what I’ve done here.  The Best Man vest/tee combo comes in seven colors:  Black, Blue, Dark Brown, Green, Orangeish, Purple and Red.  The vest colors are all muted and subdued rather than bright.  Vest and classic white tee are combined on the same clothing layer, and all seven colors are provided on both the shirt and jacket layers for tucked and untucked wear.

The vest neckline dips in a V in both back and front, an unexpected design choice that makes for an interesting contrast with the simple round collar of the tee.  The fabric textures, like the colors, are subtle and muted, almost like a watercolor wash.  The pattern of vertical banding looks more like a shimmer than distinct stripes.  I wouldn’t describe it as eye-catching, but it’s quite attractive just the same.  Priced at L$175 for the set.

Garbage’s new Skinny Jeans for men come in a pack of four:  dark and light washes, each in both high and low rise.  The fabric is evenly faded, even comfortably scuffed, with visible stitching on the fly and soft folds at thigh, knee and ankle.  L$175 buys you the set.  Permissions on all items are mod / copy / no transfer.  Everything is shown here unmodified, so you can see what the designs look like “off the rack.”

I realized that this new bracelet from Mhaijik Things wasn’t going to show up terribly well in any of the clothing photos.  Here it is in close-up so you can get a better look.  Mhaijik told me recently that she’s been playing with sculpties, and some of her new pieces have featured them to beautiful effect.  This bracelet of brown leather cords with irregular, almost molten-looking copper beads is simple but stunning.  It’s become an instant new favorite of mine.
