New: Casual gear @ SLAB Designs

da_bomb_veentage.jpgSo the other day I get an IM from Pompo Bombacci, and he says thanks for taking my free time to write for the blog, which he reads “religiously” (I believe that was the word he used).  Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s great to be appreciated (because it is my own free time, in case you’re wondering).  But I’m also happy to hear when someone reads regularly, because that means you’re coming back for more, ha-ha suckers!  So I thank him for thanking me and for reading, and we chat back and forth a bit.  Turns out he’s not just SL Resident Pompo Bombacci–he’s Designer Pompo Bombacci of SLAB Designs, and would I be interested in checking out some of his new casual menswear?  Of course I say yes, and here we are.  Here you see the Da Bomb Lite Shirt paired with VeEntage Jeans (shown in greater detail below).  Da Bomb is pieced together from washed-out, faded denim and well-worn flannel, and it has a kind of reimagined western/cowboy feel.  The pack (L$270) includes shirts with sleeves and without, buttoned and unbuttoned, for a total of four different looks.  I’m kind of wishing I had taken pictures of more of the the other styles too, but I was afraid of overdoing things.  Drop by the shop and check out the various styles in person.  ;)

suburban_sweater_veentage_jeans.jpgsuburban_veentage_back.jpgIn these pictures I’m wearing the Suburban Sweater (L$90) and the VeEntage Jeans (L$170).  The sweater, shown here in brown, is available in a variety of colors and has a rich, nubby texture that you can probably make out better in this closer picture.  The VeEntage Jeans’ shading makes them look realistically faded from many washings, and the back pockets feature decorative stitchwork.

trashed_tee_blasted_jeans.jpgFinally, we have the Trashed Tee put together with Pompo’s B!asted Jeans (shown in blue, also available in grey).  The Trashed Tee (L$75) is available in a variety of colors and features a bold, simple graphic that may give some idea regarding your condition after last night’s outrageous goings-on.  Other shirt designs are also available.  The B!asted Jeans (L$340) are highly distressed, with realistic rips, tears and patches, front and back.  Pompo’s jeans are no mod but come in packs that include three fits:  tight, loose, and baggy.

SLAB_shop.jpgIf you’re looking for some new casual gear, stop by SLAB Designs and check out what Pompo has available.  His collection started small but it’s growing–he’s adding new items regularly.  There’s also a selection of women’s wear as well as body shapes for both men and women.

All items are available at the original SLAB Designs store (Albata 173, 2, 25) as well as the new, larger store (Hayek 171, 147, 31).
