New: Bomber jacket @ Cattivo

Lissa Maertens was thoughtful enough to give me a shout recently when she added some new items to her menswear line at Cattivo.  My personal favorite of the recent additions is this classic Bomber Jacket.  The leather’s sheen suggests that it would feel supple and butter-soft, not rough or stiff.

The jacket’s open front cries out for layering with your favorite tees–here I’ve gone with a simple scoop-neck ribbed tank, but the opening is wide enough for printed tees to show fairly well.  Subtle shading suggests shadows at the zippered edges and enhances the illusion of depth.

This is the first in a line of jackets Lissa has in the works.  She plans to add jackets that feature her original artwork depicting pinup girls from the 1940s, and she mentioned that she has other enhancements in mind as well.  I’ll definitely be checking back to see what else she comes up with!
