New: Board Shorts @ Reaction Surf Store

As I sit writing this in RL, it’s a gloomy, drizzly day outside, apparenly the first day of fall before summer is even properly over. I had to run back inside for my umbrella as I was leaving for work. Blah.
Enough of that. As Nick pointed out to me the other day, “Dude…it’s always summer in SL.” And of course he’s right. With that established, I want to let you know about some great new board shorts I picked up the other day. You’ll probably find me sunning on some SL beach in these after I get home from work tonight, even if it’s pouring down rain outside in RL. Ah, escapism…
These are the Reaction Retro Boardies, available for L$100 at Reaction Surf Store (Yeanim 200, 109, 22). I love these for their great fit, design and style, and the artwork holds up under close inspection, unlike some other shorts I’ve tried on recently.
Included with the shorts is a separate, highly detailed flexiprim bow, which you can attach or not, as you prefer. Note that this means you can also wear the bow with any other shorts you have that could use a little extra something (although you may have to adjust the placement slightly for other shorts). Check out the thread detail in the bow! It’s attention to detail like this that makes a designer’s work stand out.
Reaction also has a great selection of surfwear and supplies, including several other board shorts designs, shirts, shoes, and beach towels. I did pick up a couple of towels for sunning on the dock at home and they’re the best ones I’ve seen, with great designs and good built-in animations. Drop by the store and take a look around–you’re bound to walk out with an armful!
