New: Batpunk Suits @ Crimson Shadow

Like (I am sure) many of you, I’ve been seeing some pretty amazing things coming from the designers and content creators associated with Rezzable. I was lucky enough to receive the gift of a truly amazing sculpture by Light Waves, and this is just the tip of an impressive collective creative iceberg. Located in the Rezzable sim, the goth-punk shop Crimson Shadow features clothing creations by a variety of designers, including Tox1c Chemistry and Draconic Lioncourt.
Now, hyasynth Tiramisu of Silent Sparrow is contributing her own luxe goth design sensibilities to Crimson Shadow in the form of her new Batpunk Suits. They’re elegant, even refined in design but daring, sensual, and confident in execution. The colors (Blue, Orchid and Blood, shown here) are strong and perhaps not for the faint of heart.
Each set includes jacket-style cardigan, pants, gloves, shorts, boxers and coordinating socks. The main clothing items (cardigan, pants and gloves) are provided not only in the color of your choice but in Noir as well, so you can also dress in more restrained shades of grey and black. The main fabric print could be animal or mineral, resembling both spotted animal fur and stylized stonework–and somehow either seems equally appropriate. I’m not intimately familiar with hyasinth’s entire line, but I don’t recall seeing anything quite like this in her other clothing designs. Bold lines unify the front of the cardigan, and a cape-like yoke with bat-wing design graces the back. The fabric textures are simple and clean rather than elaborate and baroque, which I think really works for this relatively straightforward ensemble. I love the cardigan’s off-kilter patch pockets, the bold stitching of the pants, and the detailing of the buttons on both.
hyasynth has also included decorative torso tattoos, animal spots that fall gracefully down chest and back. They’re provided on the shirt and undershirt layers, so you can easily layer them with the Batpunk cardigan or with other favorite shirts and jackets. It’s not a lot of ink, and the effect is subtly sexy rather than attention-grabbing–the tattoos perfectly complement the casually unbuttoned cardigan and draw the eye, but oh so slyly.

Priced at L$500 for the set, which includes the suit in two colors. A version styled for women is also available.
