New: “Antonio” @ Moderno

When I first visited the new Moderno menswear shop in the completely redesigned and rebuilt Dazzle sim, I ended up taking home just a few of the many new items and outfits that are available–I’m not sure, but I may have been kind of overwhelmed. Designer Ginny Talamasca (as Devyn Carmichael) has once again produced an extensive line of menswear ranging from casual through dressy to formal, all imaginatively designed and immaculately textured.
I was immediately struck by the looks and sharp styling of the ”Antonio” outfit you see here. The set includes dark wash jeans with sculptie cuffs, tuxedo stripe shirt, and leather Moto Jacket. A good selection of layering options makes it possible to wear the shirt tucked or untucked, and the jacket can be worn alone, over the included tux shirt, or paired with a favorite shirt you already own.
Although the shirt looks sleek and new–it seems to slip and flow like water over the skin–the jeans and jacket are lovingly worn and well broken-in, with realistically rough-edged fabric and leather textures and natural scuffs and fading in all the right places. If you look closely, you’ll notice small designer logo tags at the shirt hem and on the back of the jeans.
The sculptie jeans cuffs are particularly well done, with a slightly bunched-up contour, worn and faded double-stitched seam down the outside leg, and a nice break over the instep of the foot. Depending on how you put the pieces together and accessorize, “Antonio” easily runs the range from casual gathering to a dressier evening out, although I’d still recommend something more traditional for a job interview.
All item permission are Copy / Mod / No Transfer.
Available for L$300 at Moderno (Dazzle 154, 43, 27). Moderno is just down the block from Last Call, home to Ginny’s fashions for women.

Ty for making a post about Moderno! Was just about to IM you about it after dropping by myself. It has definitely become one of my favorite menswear stores. “Vida” is probably my favorite outfit from there currently.

So because the blog decided to eat my first post except for the I at the beginning, I’ll repost a brief synopsis of my previous post.
#1 Although I really like it, Antonio’s blue-shirt-only layer doesn’t line up from front to back. (look at your left hip if you own it)
#2 I ::heart:: the Vida shirts (apparently the less than sign & 3 for a heart kills the rest of your post), but I changed out the brown jeans for a pair of slightly gritty khaki pants to give it a mexicano/españa feel.
#3 My fave new items from Moderno are: The Logo & Block Track Jackets & Caprese. I’m a sucker for things that are similiar to full-zip hoodies irl and in SL.

Those are the first sculpty cuffs I’ve seen that I actually like. Well done, Moderno!
