Muism Contest Entry Breakdown

Especially now that I’m no longer in the competition, I figured why not discuss the “freebie” version of my entry to the Muism Contest. The majority of the items will of course come from Muism, but a bunch of others come from other spots.
To figure out what to wear, I decided to go through all the Muism freebies I’d collected over time. My first Muism product I ever tried on was their Xmas gift from last year, a red suit. I don’t get to wear that suit often enough. Next, I put on their racing jacket (which is still available, btw — it was recently added to the archives again). See, I told you it’d be handy in a costume
.Anyway, I noticed a bit of a common trend — Muism seems to like red in freebies. Perhaps I’m (actually I know I am) taking a bad sample space, but I decided to try on a few other red things.
There are a few freebie t-shirts (on the shirt layer) available in store. I chose the Mickey one because it featured quite a bit of red. There are also two free costumes at the same place, Sasaki Kojiro and Miyamoto Musashi. Kojiro was the loser (Musashi broke his rib and skewered his lung with a bokken he carved on the trip over) but according to Muism, Kojiro wore a lot of red. I originally wanted to put together something that combined Kojiro’s armor with the jacket.. but that just didn’t work right. But I liked his nodachi and its red case. This left me in red slacks, a Mickey Mouse tshirt, and a racing jacket a carrying a nodachi.
Thing is, the Kojiro outfit comes with a shape and the weapons are no mod (since they’re scripted, I guess). So the strap of the case was too small for me. To fix this I refit the belt from the Kojiro outfit into a strap before putting it on my waist as well.
Around now I threw on a pair of glasses and realized I looked something vaguely like Buddy from Six String Samurai. But, instead of being blue, I wanted to be red. So instead of Buddy Holly glasses, I switched into my SATXi aviators, which are $1L at the free*style HQ (thank you Creamy). Now, in my original entry I wore hair from Naughty Designs and shoes from Akeyo. But I wanted some freebie alternatives. So I switched to Street, in Black, from GuRL 6 which is free by vouchers to newbies who are under 30 days old and red plaid co-sneakers from Filigreemotion, which were free in their East Hunt.
Now, I just needed a guitar. This was actually a toughie. I had no clue where to look. But after looking around, I found the free OD Pagan Fire guitar from OverDrive Designs. It was meant to be played, but.. I don’t know how play guitar and the body does make a good crunch when it hits people.
Oh, and Ryan sent me some vacation pics: (and doesn’t he look badass on vacation?)

That chimp avatar playing that huge guitar was so cute! And thanks, Express for coming around.
Btw, I love this racing jacket!
Oggie has a great freebie guitar too. I don’t remember where he got it from but I can ask in case you’re interested.
