Just Another Freebie Sunday

The best part of being in contact with other freebie bloggers is that they remind you of items you’ve picked up and then totally forgotten. Half the stuff I’m wearing in this post have been available for a long time and been in my inventory for months, till I was reminded of them by seeing others wear them, mention them, or somehow remind me of them.

Gecko Gorilla, the new resident male freebie hunter at Free*Style, reminded me of my Amsterdam free shirt, the subscribomatic joining gift from Hoorenbeek. He wore the blue shirt so I decided I’d wear the brown shirt. I also seem to have a brown sports jacket from Hoorenbeek which I suspect came from either a sale or the subscribomatic, but I’m honestly not sure. If it was from the subscribomatic, I suspect its long been flushed from history. Either way, clicking on the sign still gets you two free shirts. Poking through the history will most definitely get you some notecards and perhaps a sports jacket.

Meanwhile, Liessa Nightfire of Free Second reminded me of the Flexigrip boots by Leyla Firefly from KangarOOs. The most distinctive feature of these shoes (for me at least) are the red swirls on the soles. They make for some weird combination of Twizzlers and Debian in my head. Yeah, I’m a little weird. That said, they’re also well constructed boots that are always available for free and will fit well in both casual and grungy looks.

I originally had another pair of pants lined up for this outfit but I swapped em out while tracking down Liessa’s post with the boots. You see, she’s wearing an outfit from Canimal’s freebie wagon with them. Canimal’s freebie wagon has few different items for guys, mostly on the bottom row of the right half of the wagon. I’ve been meaning to wear these plaid pants for a long time but always seem to forget them when I’m pulling an outfit together. Now I’ve finally changed that. They come in a pack of five colors: blue, brown, dark, olive, and red. Also available on the freebie wagon are camo pants and two outfits: Manson and Soldier.

My last reminder actually comes from Ryan. He covered the messenger bags from Shop Therapy earlier this week, which reminded me that I’d forgotten some bags from the accessories section at Rocker’s Wear. Admittedly, these bags aren’t the most amazing in the world. They aren’t sculptie and the strap is a pain to fit. However, they are nice and trendy looking, and free accessories like these aren’t easy to come by. I’m wearing the punk bag, but there is also an emo bag that is brown and worn-looking. Along with the bags are two types of boots. On top of that, if you visit the male clothing section, you’ll also find a few clothing items heavily discounted at 10L apiece.

Now for the things I did remember, which I’ll admit isn’t very much. The skin is the Belleza group gift I mentioned in my last post, available in store to group members only. My hair is an old favorite, Boyd from Philotic Energy. However, I’m wearing the newly textured version, which is available for 1L in the store just like the older box before. There aren’t too many differences between the old and new ones, just a bunch of new colors, but keep an eye out because Aemilia told me she was looking for more old styles to retexture.
