Just a little something for the weekend

I don’t do a lot of one-off posts these days, partly because the more ambitious/complex posts, time-consuming as they are, are not just fun but rewarding for me.  I keep telling myself, though, that I shouldn’t resist featuring the occasional particularly nice solo item.  In theory (ahem) a post like this should be quicker and easier to put together, you still get to do some shopping (assuming you like what you see), and I still get to accessorize!  I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a win-win to me.  You be the judge.

One of my favorite single things that I brought home in the last week or so is Arcana Ceawlin’s new Striped Sweater.  I was looking at something not too unlike this at the store in RL the other day, and I may just have to go back for it.  In the meantime, my virtual self will get by just fine with Arcana’s comfy-looking offering.  Stripes seem to be something of a challenge on textures for SL clothing, which don’t necessarily provide a lot of room for detailed paintwork, but here the stripes are clean and clear without looking unrealistically harsh.  Different versions are provided on separate clothing layers, so you can wear yours tucked or untucked, with short or long sleeves.  Sculpted rolled sleeves and front “pouch” pocket are included.  The pleasantly slumpy hoodie has shiny metal eyelets and flexi ties, but the jacket-layer collars are finished, so you can leave off the hoodie and wear just as a sweater.
