Jetcity Shop

Jetcity OutfitI’ve been a bit lazy about getting some freebies to you because freebies tend to come in batches. When you get one, you get twenty other stores doing something at the same time. They don’t really mean to be giving freebies out when everyone else does — it just happens around events like RL holidays or SL events like SL5B. It just so happens to be a bit of downtime between these freebie rushes, so I’m recovering from the burnout of mad freebie hunting by sifting on my butt and being lazy.

That said, I still have some good stuff to send to send your way. One of my latest finds is an awesome little shop called Jetcity. Everything in the store, by owner Jiru Jetcity, is free (as in free beer :P). There isn’t much, but what is there is rather refreshingly different. Most of the stuff here looks better on skinny, lighter framed guys instead of the typical over muscled SL male.

Jetcity Stuff and Mechanism Belt Startin up top, the hat is a nice sculptie knit cap that comes in two sizes, for males and females. The male one does not size down very well (you’ll have to edit the separate parts) so guys with smaller heads may prefer the female version. I waffled between the two before deciding on the large cap, just because its easier to fit hair under there. I ended up wearing Kensei, a now seemingly semi-permanent dollarbie from Truth. I also wore piercings from Jetcity, which consist of two small helix rings and a small barbell that passes through the lobe.

The shirt is from (you guessed it) Jetcity as well, called the Real T-shirt. It’s a pretty nice shirt and comes with prim sleeves. The sleeves are sized for the small skinny types like Ryan, and out of the box look kinda weird on anyone with a bit of arm bulk. Stretching doesn’t quite cut it, so you’ll probably find you’ll have to reshape the prims slightly as well. Luckily, everything from the store is modifiable so its easy to do.

Mechanism Belt and Boots and Sidewalk Jeans.pngAs for pants, these frayed blue jeans are from Sidewalk. This set has been around for a while, available on the back wall at the store. Just touch the sign and you’ll get the jeans along with the “Trust Me” shirt. The shirt has three Chinese characters on the back, two of them meaning Trust and Me, but I’m not sure about the third. For those of English speakers, I found the name ironic. We trust that the shirt actually says what we think it does and if not.. well, every person able to read Chinese is probably laughing at us :P

The boots and belt are both from Mechanism. I’ve worn the snow boots before, but the hunter’s belt was released a few weeks after the boots. Both are still available at the mainstore. Before anyone asks, the tank on the sign behind these two seems to have been removed from the subscribomatic.

Jetcity Shirt and Ottico Glasses.pngThis second outfit was mostly made to show off this other shirt from Jet City. Most of the other parts have been covered before: hair from Uncle Web, pants from Canimal, and boots from KangarOOs. Called, the white shirt, this shirt is actually available in white, yellow, and pink. I’m wearing white variation. Of course, since it’s modifiable you can tint it just about any color you want.

Last but not least, I’ve got a pair of glasses from Ottico on my nose. There are actually 3 free pairs of glasses in front of the store. This is the topmost box, and the most full featured set. The glasses are available in multiple sizes and in a folded variation to be worn on your chest for when they aren’t in use. On top of that, they are modifiable so you can pick them apart and modify the design.

Disclosure: Seen in World: Yes | Review Copy: No | Friends List: No

Notes: On Express: "Male gift" skin by Tricky Boucher (Belleza). "steel gray" eyes available from Freebie Eyes Package (House of Zen).
