Isn’t It Romantic? Part 3 – Valentine’s Day tees @ Civvies
February 13th, 2008 at 06:59pm Ryan Darragh
We’re getting close to the 14th, so this may be the last Valentine’s Day stuff I’m going to mention here, but no promises. They’re simple pleasures this time, these long-sleeved tees by Posy Trudeau–nothing elaborate or over-the-top, just what’s needed. The artwork is themed for V-Day, yet still a bit grungy and rough around the edges…kind of a nice change for those who might find themselves tiring of Cupids and flowers.
This design on grey is called Heart-n-Skull. The heart is mostly black, with only a sliver of traditional romantic red. The skull feels old and chalky, and a scattering of small crosses seem to flutter about. The shirts have hemmed collar and cuffs, and the wrinkles in the fabric feel natural but don’t overwhelm the artwork.
Both jacket-layer and shirt-layer items (with underwear extension) are provided, so you can wear the shirts tucked and untucked, or layered under another shirt or jacket. The Tribal Heart design shown here uses elaborate scrollwork to build up the classic heart shape.
The design Posy calls Tagged Heart looks like somebody got to you in an unguarded moment and attacked you with a cutout paper heart and a can of red spraypaint. Normally I wouldn’t be too happy about this, but in this case the result is actually artistic, so I can’t really complain.
Permissions on these tees are Modify / No Copy / Transfer, so they can be given as a gift. I’m just sayin’.
Priced at just L$100 for the set and available at Civvies (Maggiore 127, 128, 601). A similary styled set of crop-top tees for the ladies is also available.
