[insert cool name]. Whoa.

[insert cool name] & naimaMy friend Itny told me to head to a store called [insert cool name] a while ago, but (as is usual) I forgot. She reminded again a few days ago, and this time I went right after she told me. I found a nice box of goodies there for 1L. Curious to see if I could find more, I checked through the group history and found a few more things. As I was busy poking around, I ran into Malte Antfarm, the owner of the store. Malte is a pretty nice guy, and we ended up talking for a bit. As I was talking to him, the topic of his next freebie came up.

I mentioned that guys tend to get plenty of shirts, but everything else is much less common. Therefore, why not make his next freebie a pair of pants? Sure enough, a day or two later, Malte dropped the shirt and pants I’m wearing here on the group. I’m pretty sure he mentioned that they’d be packaged in the box as well for when they age out of the archives. Anyway, enough back story, on to the clothes.

[insert cool name] pantsThe pants in the pack are his dark painters jeans. I happen to like my jeans in darker tones such as indigo and grays. When Malte calls these jeans dark, he isn’t kidding. They’re a tad dark even for my tastes, especially since at first I couldn’t make out the denim texture. That said, they are a good (and different) set of jeans. They are available in two variation, regular and skinny. I’m wearing the regular ones. The skinny version has a tighter fit and optional prim cuff pieces.

When I put on the top, the retro “f the system” tee, and realized it was a dark item as well (his other free tees are other colors, check out Creamy’s post at free*style) it occurred to me (in a moment of silliness) that I kinda felt like the characters in the Matrix, except a step or two more casual. After that “revelation,” I decided to play with the image of Neo wearing casual clothes. I pulled out my palest skin and chuckled to myself as I came up with a post title that would make no sense till you got this far in the post.

[ insert cool name ] & NaimatrixTo add to the Matrix-ness, I decided to pull out some sunglasses from NAIMA Fashions called the Naimatrix glasses. Owner Naiman Broome dropped these for 1L in black for a single afternoon a while back, saying that he’d release them again, at full price and fully scripted soon after. While I did grab a pair, I tended to shy away from these awesome glasses because I thought they weren’t available anymore. However, while doing the footwork to compare Izumiya and NAIMA jackets, I stumbled by the store and found that not only were the black ones still available for 1L, there was a color pack (blue, green, red, yellow, and brown) for 10L. My only complaint is that these are no modify, so if they don’t quite fit you’ll need to work around them. The black comes in only one size, while the color pack has two sizes, one that fits me and one that is slightly larger. Smaller guys may have a lil trouble with these, so try the black ones first before getting the pack. Oh and before I forget, Naima has a few other dollarbies at the store including a sweater and a male shape.

Now, I’ve got a bit of a confession to make. If Ryan’s got a soft spot for long coats, mine would be hoodies. While normal hoodies, especially ones that are a tad on the baggy side, are my favorite — I also like hoods on jackets and zip hoodies. So when I noticed that Malte had a hoodie in his freebie box, I had to throw it on. It’s called the royal hoodie, and luckily it fits in with the rest of the outfit. I had a bit of trouble fitting the hood, but after a bit of teasing it around I managed to place it somewhere I liked.
