Inexpensive Treasures (3) @ UFonly

CSI is for sissies. Here is the ruthless and inscrutable Mr. Oh on the trail of a vicious cereal killer, hunting him down with my “Heppoko” water pistol at the ready. I’m wearing “Hunters: Refined,” designed by Eternalynn Calliope, whose company is called UFonly, which stands not for Unidentified Flying Object, but for Upload Fee Only. For a mere 50L$, you get trousers, shirt ‘n’ tie on shirt layer, jacket, lower jacket “skirt” and stand-up prim collar. Besides the price, the attraction is that this is pure manga abstractions of clothes, cut directly from the comic or from a watercolour wash.
Hunters: Refined is unisex and comes in 9 different colours. I’m wearing green, jet and blue. There are also teal, rose, maroon, red, brown and ‘dark’ (a deeper brown). In each colour, the tie with the white shirt matches the jacket and trousers. In the green version above, I’ve substituted the green tie and shirt with Basic White shirt from plusNINE again. This shirt has more of a comic book feel than the included shirt and tie and as I’ve said before, two stand-up collars together are a very pleasing look. (Both collars are copy- and modify-ok.)
UFonly is often thought of as newbie clothing because of its price. Perhaps the apparent simplicity of the texturing is also misleading. If you simply equate realistic clothing with quality clothing, you won’t like UFonly. Eternalynn Calliope is clearly aiming at a comic book feel, as is made obvious by the range of complete avatars available, which are not mere generic boys and girls but specific characters from video game classics, notably Castlevania.
There is also a great variety among the single pieces, as I’m showing in this photo. The trousers are positioned in the “Hunters” range — they’re called “Hunters: Strafe,” more realistic and detailed than the Hunters:Refined jacket and trousers. I’m wearing the teal version, but Hunters: Strafe is available in 4 other colours as well and costs 20L$. Each pack comes with 2 pairs of trousers, one that’s black on colour and the other reversed.
The jacket-layer “Rev: Enigma” is a more experimental piece. The feel is very sketch-like, yet the baked-in lighting, as you can see, is realistically textured. It can be worn without a shirt, but you can’t go wrong with Basic White shirt in these circumstances. Rev: Enigma is only available in grey and costs 20L$.
UFonly headquarters can be found at Bare Rose (244, 180, 35).

Vincent, I’m surprised at your attitude and laughter. Perhaps you don’t realize how serious breakfast food felonies really are. For a great many people across the world, breakfast is the first meal of the day.
