Designer: JHZ Store for Men

JHZ_01.jpgI’m back again, this time with a review of JHZ. JHZ is a small store that advertises as selling High Definition clothes for men. The style is somewhat urban with baggy, worn jeans and tight T shirts.

Some of the shirts they sell are branded with first life brand logos. I won’t cover these by blog policy. I’ll cover the jeans, some original t shirts and some layered tees though. The store also makes some accessories, of which I’m showing the bracelets in my review.

I’ll start with the jeans. The texture is quite ‘crispy’ and sharp. The only blurry area I saw on the jeans was around the crotch, but that was completely the fault of the SL mesh. I’m sure we’ve all seen how SL distorts baggy or loose clothing. Since the pants are modify enabled I fixed it for myself by lowering the crotch height from 33 to 15.

The side seams of the texture have been worked away by burning the side of the pants in a darker colour. The shift between the lighter worn parts and the darker sides goes quite naturally compared with real jeans, and is not too abrupt.

The jeans are available in dark blue under the name Freedom Jeans and in black under the name Silver Jeans. They cost 170 L$ each.

The shirts I’ll cover are the ‘blood wings’ layered tee you can see in the first picture and the ‘abstract’ tee you’ll see in the second picture.

JHZ_02.jpgThe layered tee, sold under the name blood wings, is available in 5 colours. Each covers a grey longsleeve with the sleeves pulled up partially. The logo on the front shows a pair of wings with bloodspatters and the JHZ name (in small letters) in the center. The fabric texture has a slightly fuzzy effect like some kind of rough cotton. The shading and folding looks great on the darker colours, but on the brighter yellow shirt it looks a bit too dark. Especially on the back I felt the shading stood out too much. I’ll let you judge yourself from this linked close-up.

The second shirt I’m covering is a two-tone tee. The logo is made up of a skull and a hand-print. There are also stains printed on the back. The shoulders are a different colour than the rest of the shirt, divided by a thin rim. It is available in 4 different colour combinations.

The texture fabric has a pretty rough look, which IMO goes well with an urban style. The shoulder seams which are so typical with t shirts are very well hidden by the way the shoulders are constructed in this t shirt. In most viewpoints they’re completely invisible but even from the few angles where you could see them, the attention is drawn away by the two-tone difference.

The layered tee is available for 100 L$ for one colour or 420 L$ for a fatpack of 5. The two-tone tee if available for 100 L$ each or a fatpack of 360 L$ for 4 versions.

JHZ_04.jpgThis brings me to the final item I’ll review today. The ‘class’ bracelets that is.

These bracelets are made up of a leather base, covered with thick metal plates. The style might not be to everyone’s taste, but I hope you’ll still enjoy seeing them.

Not too much can be said about these I think. The textures are quite good, but nothing too special. The metal looks shiny enough to look like metal, without the shine being so bad it appears plastic. The leather is detailed with stitches on both sides.

The plates are detailed with these tiny bolts keeping them in place. The buckle on the back of the bracelet is in the same style as the plates in front.

The bracelet is for sale at 250 L$.
