Sometimes I’m just not sure what approach to take when I’m putting together an outfit or outfits for an article. I mean, putting outfits together obviously follows a certain basic process that doesn’t change much–clothing that makes for a certain look, shoes that play along nicely or even make a statement, maybe some jewelry or other accessories that tie it all together. And there’s always the question of hair, and possibly a particular or even themed skin…but I digress.
So, anyway, yes, the process is pretty well defined, but for me the question is always, “What’s the hook?” By which I mean, What makes it special? Where’s the fun? What’s the challenge this time? What’s in it for me? (more…)

The Drifter walks in the nearly empty bar as the few patrons casually turn to check out the intruder, the dust from outside following him in. The Drifter looks around, finds an empty table, sits himself down and looks around and waits.
He looks down at his dusty overalls, battered and torn. He frowns as he remembers how each hole was ripped, climbing jagged cliffs, chasing down a wild muklok for food, running from a bandow who thought he got a little close to her cubs. It’s been a long trip, but worth it. An old man in the corner rises from his table and makes his way over to where The Drifter sits, settling in a chair opposite. “Call me Doc,” the man says. The Drifter nods. “Do I know what you’re here for?” Doc asks slowly. The Drifter nods again. Doc sits for a moment, gathering his thoughts, looking The Drifter over. “All right. Follow me.” Doc gets up and heads for a door in the rear of the bar. The Drifter follows behind.
