See its my rezzday on Monday and I had this great and (at least in my head) funny plan to make a post with this title and end up featuring pic of the default male and Ruth. I was then gonna go through all of male freebie outfits as if they were a normal review and then put together a few of them with other freebies to show they actually weren’t that bad.
But, it wasn’t meant to be. The picture that took 15 seconds in Photoshop to make (that is hidden after the cut) wasn’t so funny anymore. Why? Because the Linden Overlords decided to actually put some designer clothes in everyone’s inventory. (more…)

New at Nylon Outfitters from designer Nylon Pinkney is this set of Button Down Stripe Shirts. Although quite different, these strike me as companions of a sort to Mathfew Alonzo’s short-sleeve shirts from Savvy Avvy. These too are perfect summer shirts, and although also striped these have long sleeves, brighter colors and perhaps something of a Seventies vibe with the spread collar and slinky fit. You could get away with wearing these to a disco revival party, but why wait for a special occasion? Throw one on with your favorite dark jeans or slacks and enjoy today. (more…)

Like the song says… “Working for the weekend…”
This outfit, which I’m calling The Weekender, is simply something I’d throw on without really worrying about **gasp!** having to look good. Although, the finished result shows anything but. Okay, I admit it. I’m guilty of the crime of being vain…XD
It’s one of those types of getups where the usual Jeans + Tee can be redone with a twist. More than the usual casual sets that one finds in either RL or SL, part of the look depends on what one makes of it. This look wouldn’t be out of place at a club or just cruising along doing nothing. (more…)

Following some constructive and pointed feedback from our valued readers the format of this segment as been slightly adjusted. You are really making me work for this. But I enjoy a good challenge. Items have been arranged in categories and descriptions have been made more concise (3 to 5 short sentences each). Due to time and resource constraints designer-created images have been used in the product highlights. If there are any further comments you may have on the changes please feel free to post.
Is it any wonder that this was also a week that was rife with male fashion content? We’ve got a fairly diverse round-up with amongst the categories in addition to two sales. And of course I felt obligated to write about the quality products I saw and/or tried on.

I managed to wittle down this week’s bulletin to only four items, which affords me the opportunity to spend a little more time to focus on each. And I’m doing it completely guilt free.
For those who regularly follow the blog this marks the fourth week we’ve put out this weekly wrap-up and we’d appreciate your feedback since we’re doing it for you, kids. Is it working for you? Not working? Are you completely ambivalent or uncaring? We want to know and can handle any criticisms you may have.

If you are a fan of the hand drawn look, you will have to check out Nylon’s new skins. She put a lot of great detail into them. I really like the facial hair options, you can tell a lot of work was put into getting them to map on the face right and make them actually look like hair. Also I think the body detail is a lot better on these ones than her old ones, which is why I am suprised she did not provide a picture of it with her forum post. (more…)
