A little while back, Posy was lamenting that she hadn’t done any new design work for Miau Haus in what she thought was far too long. The next thing I knew she was asking, “Are these shirts sexy enough?” Well, now, let me just take a look.
Yes…yes, I think they might be. Break out your favorite skin with a treasure trail, because you’re going to need it.
Posy’s new “Seiki” shirts are devilishly disheveled and come in bright White and deep Black. With each you get a jacket-layer shirt (untucked only, natch), prim collars with and without flexi nectkie, and scrunched, turned-up sculptie sleeves. The shirt’s fabric weave is clear and easy to make out, even on the Black shirt, and finishing details include heavy rather than fine stitchwork and color-matched buttons. Chances are that you’ve at least heard of Relay For Life, the annual overnight fundraising walk benefiting the American Cancer Society. The event is designed to further awareness of cancer prevention, treatments and cures; to remember those who have been lost to cancer and celebrate survivors; and to raise money for ongoing cure research. The Second Life embodiment of this effort is Relay For Life of Second Life. In 2007, through the efforts of 40 teams RFL of SL raised a grand total of over L$118,000! (more…)

I’ll keep this short and sweet. This week marked the appearance of some really fun, satirical and all around distinguished articles on the men’s fashion scene. Being a joker-at-heart, as soon as I saw Gadget Gobo and Caroline Apollo’s comical devices I ran down to their stores to take a peek for myself - laughing all the way. Sometimes we all need a little ludicrously funny distraction for our wardrobes. As always designers for all categories of items put out primo content whether you seek the ludicrous or the distinguished that we just can’t help but share with the masses.
While chasing answers to a reader inquiry I had the great fortune to stumble across a skin which may be something worth investigating for those looking for a non-athletic touch.
Dive in and see if there’s something within that suits your tastes.

I don’t review t-shirts very often, because frankly I think good tees are few and far between, and rare is the occasion when I find new tees that are worth not only your money but mine. ;) This is one of those occasions! Designer Posy Trudeau of Miau Haus has come up with some really hip, fun tees that feature gorgeous artwork, a clean design and beautiful colors. Each also comes with two optional long-sleeve undershirts (both white, one clean and one somewhat grubby-looking), so for each shirt you actually get three different looks.
At left is the Red Griffon tee, worn without the optional undershirt. As things turned out, I ended up modeling only the clean version–not by design, just luck of the draw. (Actually, I was having trouble with clothing changes, having to relog each time.) The “dirty” tees look subtly grungy but not actually nasty…it’s a good thing. (more…)

Posey Trudeau just posted these very cool new tees. Once again my favorite muted colors are represented in the hizzy! The wrinkles on these are particularly lush. And don’t worry ladies there is a version for you too.
