Remember me? For the few of you who do.. no I didn’t die. I’ve just been very busy with RL and then “relaxed” a bit with a week of summer vacation. My vacation isn’t quite over yet, but I felt that I had to cover some freebies that might disappear soon. My laptop’s onboard graphics aren’t good enough SL so I snuck onto a friend’s machine to install SL to snap a few pics for this post. Thus, this post is brought to you by my friend with no desktop password 
Anyway, a long time ago I said that I couldn’t buy fancy clothes cuz I’m poor. Well, now a good number of those rich stores have freebies all in one spot: KMADD Enterprise. KMADD had a lot of gifts out from their opening, which disappeared a lil while back, before I could cover them (I hadn’t started blogging when they disappeared). Its not all bad though, because they replaced them with different gifts from a handful of the KMADD stores, including Tonic, Tango NY, Endeavor, Indigo, Redgrave, Mechanism, Mhaijik Things, SF Design, and of course MADesigns. I’ve been a fan of Chloris Hathor’s clothing designs for men since I first saw some of her casual denim and leather items, and the plain and plaid shorts she released a while back quickly became favorites of mine. Along the way, she has re-imagined her men’s brand, taking it from an extension of her Threads By Chlo! and GLAM lines to its current independent incarnation as Indigo. Chlo recently released an extensive new collection of menswear and undertook a redesign of her main store, which seems a lot for any one person to take on. She was kind enough to put together a few of her own favorite outfits from the new collection, and those are featured here, along with a few things I especially liked and wanted for myself. With this collection, Chlo’s designs move in a more upscale direction without losing the comfortable, casual appeal of her first designs. (more…)

Lately I’ve been wondering what Chloris Hathor was up to–I hadn’t seen any new men’s designs from her since the beautiful denim jackets she released in early December. Well, apparently she’s been busy moving her shop into new digs and re-visioning her brand, because Threads By Chlo! has become *G*L*A*M*. Hey–if the girls can be glamorous, why can’t the guys? 
When I read that she had just released not only some new denim jeans but a couple of leather jackets, I couldn’t wait to get over there and check them out. Man, was I glad I did I’ve been loving Chlo’s jeans ever since I first discovered them, and she’s added four new denim washes to her line: Sea Salt, pictured here (a faded, grungy light wash); Miami (white with palm tree back pocket embroidery); Espresso (a dark black wash); and Coffee, pictured below (a tinged brown wash). Chlo’s denim textures are just beautiful, with a wonderfully soft, pastel/watercolor feel. She also has two new leather jackets, one black with light beige stitching, the other brown with orange stitching. Here I’m wearing the Sea Salt wash jeans with the black leather jacket, which makes for a great casual pairing. The jackets have the same soft coloring and feel as the jeans, so they go together very well. (more…)

Chloris Hathor of Threads By Chlo! makes some of my favorite men’s jeans in SL. The muted colors, the detailed hand-drawn artwork, the quality construction–all bring her jeans right to the top of my list (and my inventory). Now she has released jackets in denim textures that match all her men’s jeans, so you can pair up without fear of mis-matched colors or textures, unless of course the contrast is something you’re going for on purpose.
Here you see me in the Brooklyn Denim Jacket With Shirt and�the matching Brooklyn Jeans. (On this piece, the shirt is included on the jacket layer with the denim jacket, but see below for more.) Also included is a shirt you can wear under the jacket to make the fit baggier, a clever trick Chlo also uses with her layered polos. I love the great faded look Chlo has given to the fabric, and the collar, seam, pocket and snap detailing is all beautifully done. (more…)

Some more great new menswear at Threads By Chlo! (Cezanne 233, 223, 30). New items by Chloris Hathor include three layered pocket polos for L$90 each and “Brooklyn” jeans for L$115 (includes belted and non-belted versions).
If you’re into jewelry and accessories, she also has a great red leather and platinum watch for L$100. The layered look is really fun and Chlo has paid a lot of attention to detail in her design.
In this picture I’m wearing the new Brooklyn jeans and the Layered City Slick Polo. I love the look and feel of these layered polos just as much as the others she released recently. Get ‘em while they’re hot!

Chloris Hathor has been creating jewelry and clothes for women for a little while in SL as far as I can tell from her post history on the forums. On Sunday, she released her first batch of items for us guys. Although it’s just some simple jeans, a few shirts, and boxers, her designs are great looking and have good quality construction.
The jeans have nice details with a subtle cuff at the bottom, and the pack contains belted and non-belted versions. I love the uber-casual look of the layered polos. There is also a beater tank and a set of boxer shorts for sale. Let’s hope this is just the beginning of her line for men!
