Casual Saturday: Endeavor, Shop Therapy

cadet_blue_belt_full.jpgIt’s not often that I mention jeans and tees here.  I don’t have any particular bias against them, at least I don’t think I do–I like to dress down on the weekends as much as the next guy.  It’s just that there’s so much else going on that wardrobe staples like jeans and tees sort of fade into the background.  I mean, they’ve been done, right?  Why re-invent the wheel?

Maybe because any wardrobe staple or even classic (think James Dean in “Rebel Without a Cause” if you’re not sure that the jeans-and-tee look is iconic) can benefit from a fresh take or new interpretation.  For me, the Washed Look Jeans (L$120) by designer Tsubasa Ferraris of Endeavor are just such a fresh take.  The photoreal textures are clean and clear but don’t just look ironed on, and the button-fly jeans look not just well worn but comfortably broken in, like your favorite jeans in RL.

Four different washes are available: Cadet Blue, Light Steel, Sky Blue, and Navy Black.  Two styles are included, one belted, the other with a screened graphic under the back pocket and no belt.

The “Endeavor” brand tag in back at the waist is covered by the belt but visible on the unbelted styles.  The jeans are moddable, but the cuff flare can’t be taken down quite as far as I like–truly a minor personal quibble, all things considered.

I’m also wearing Tsubasa’s Slick Tee, which comes in a pack of five colors for L$150.  The shirts are provided on all clothing layers for maximum flexibility and convenience: jacket layer for untucked wear; shirt and undershirt layers, plus underwear-layer extension, for tucking in.  The shallow V-neck and flattering shading and wrinkles look great and are far more interesting (and realistic) than the relatively blank slate you see on some tees.  For a slightly dressier look with the darkest Navy Black jeans, I’ve thrown on Tusbasa’s simple Velour Jacket (L$80), which is provided on the jacket layer for easy pairing with the Slick Tees or other shirts.

All of these items are available at Endeavor (Takaraduka 141, 79, 34).

route_66_sneakers.jpgRounding out my casual Saturday ensemble are the Prodas Route 66 Shell Toe Sneakers V1.0, new from Proda Jie of Shop Therapy.  These unisex sneakers are Copy / No Modify / No Transfer, but five sizes are included, so you should have no trouble finding the right fit for your avatar.  The detailed texture work includes realistic suede uppers, a rubberized clamshell cap on the toe, and “Prodas” brand tag on the shoe tongue.  These are priced at L$420 and currently come only in Burgundy as shown, but the included notecard mentions that several more colors are in the works.

The Route 66 Shell Toes are available at Shop Therapy (TRUE 47, 226, 22).

That was such a wonderfull in-depth review Ryan!
A great thankyou for picking up some of my creations.
I’m always happy when people realize the little details and seam works which are not originally avaiable from the photo source.
    Thankyou again! :)
