Blogger Style Throwdown: Emo under 2000L (vs. Creamy Cooljoke)

Late again due to RL interference, but still just as good as ever Back in the mid-80s, some hardcore punks started doing these “emotional” stage performances. As the 90s came around, they mellowed out into a more indie style. But singing emotionally and wearing geek chic wasn’t enough. Some band needed to dress in black and wear eye shadow to convey the depth of their emotion. Legions of rebellious suburban kids followed suit, the “emo” style that we all know was born. Here to explore and enjoy the fad is Creamy Cooljoke, queen of the freebies at Free*style.

omg. my life sux. nobody understands me! i know you do, though. i just get so emotional sometimes. today, i was eating lunch in the library, because its the best place where i can be alone and focus my emotions into poetry. i didn’t finish the poem, because that snotty librarian came by and told me “no emo kids in the library”. okay, maybe she said “no food in the library”. but still, what a bitch. here’s the beginning of my poem though:

black is color of loneliness.
there is no color in black
unless you use paint.
then black is a mix of all the icky colors.

what do you think? could i make a song out of that? i know i can play guitar, i’ve five starred everything in guitar hero because i play it everyday on the way back home from school. there is a 360 in the backseat of Mom’s minivan.

i tried to eat the rest of my lunch in the cafeteria, but everyone there was too happy. the scenesters are all just posers. nobody *feels* the dark emotions i feel. one jerk stole my glasses and i told him he was as fake as simple plan. i showed him. i ate the rest of my lunch on the roof. the pigeons up there.. they understand how depressed i am. so what if i don’t actually need the glasses, i *feel* that i need them.

mom and dad gave me a hard time on the way home, telling me that i can’t just start a rock band using the game and that i needed to actually know an instrument. what do they know about indie music? they’re just so brainwashed as an agent and manager in the “business. i was so sad i had to take these two new profile pictures. what do you think of them? can you feel the emotions i feel?

Creamy Cooljoke – Eisa Loon?

When Express challenged me to an Emo Throwdown on Mens Second Style blog, I though I might as well just shoot myself right now. Express is the epitome of emo, how can a pixellated dolly girl beat him?

But then my seriously competitive side came out and raised it’s ugly head, I’m a straight woman, in an effeminate looking guys body, I’m GAYMO!!

So I untied myself, cleaned my near miss bullet wound and off I went on my quest…

I’ve got a budget of 2K, I know for a fact I can manage that no problem – being a freetard and all, so I took my transgender Avatar Eisa on a shopping trip. Emo’s love posing around in malls don’t they?

First stop, :sey:, if you are a member of this group you will know how generous Risey Arai is to his group and his creations are fantastic. This buckled waistcoat, cross pierce earring and gloves (which are part of a Halloween set) are all group gifts. This is an Eloh Eliot Male Cf1 skin (PSD files free download on Elohs blog http://eloheliot.blogspot.com). I have modified the skin and added tears, painted nails, wrist tattoo, a bit more eye makeup. My 8yr daughter also added some ‘art work’ of her own, a rather borked star on the nipple because she pestered me so much to have a go. I’ll put this skin out for free at my store if you reeeeaaaally want it.

The ‘Kavi’ hair was around 285L for a pack of dark shades from Novocaine. I had never been to this store before and I was seriously impressed, I think I’ll have to take Creamy back there and spoil her later, my Emo was swooning over the dresses.

So where would an Emo guy hangout in SL? I dunno, I’m a woman on the wrong side of 30.

Hotel Dare is a cool place, yeah he could pose around there in his waist cloth – well if it’s good enough for Beckham, it’s good enough for him. This wraparound waist cloth is part of a 25L Fashion Set M08 outfit from Izumiya, which also includes a top, pants hoody, shoes and bracelet (not shown).

Eisa ponders on the fact that he and Express are probably going to look like brothers. He is also thinking he is going to burn that sign, he won’t allow meat past his emo lips…well not that kind of meat.

The Tortura heart hear scar just seen on the neck is from RocX for 70L. At school, scratching symbols and words into our skin was a kinda fad with a certain group of us on for a brief time, until we all got detention.

Wow! It’s just dawned on me, I was emo before emo was invented.

Whilst posing around looking moody, I receive an IM from a girl standing nearby who is on Creamy’s friends list.

Girl: Hi hun, how are you?
(I presume she knows that this is my male alt)

Girl: What you up to?
Me: I’m just standing around having an emo moment
Girl: You look really cute
(suddenly get the feeling that she doesn’t realise it is me)
Me: LOL, you know how I am don’t you?
Girl: ???
Me: It’s me, Creamy,
Girl: O
Girl: M
Girl: G
Girl: I was just about to hit on you
Me: Oh shit, I shoulda wound you up a bit more then :p

Underneath all those layers is this fitted top, another group gift from iNFLiCT. Are you surprised this skinny dude has muscles like that? I was!

Anyway, my emo moment is now over and I actually really enjoyed it, I hope you did too!
