Blogger Style Throw–nevermind…

So y’all might be wondering what happened to the throwdown. Basically, my last opponent had a lot of RL issues come up halfway through the round and I’ve had RL and SL issues so we called it off for a bit. I had been planning to introduce something new, so that’s coming to you now.
The process of choosing a theme is basically spinning a big wheel. I use two random numbers. One of them acts as a bit of salt, choosing where the wheel starts spinning from. The other, usually much larger, is the equivalent of actually spinning the wheel. I get the numbers in different ways — sometimes I use a website and other times I just ask my opponent to pick a number.
I’m thinking of using yet another wheel. Up till now I’ve used a somewhat vague theme, that both my opponent and I can interpret as we see fit. But more and more, those outfits and feeling like costumes and not actually something most folks could wear on a day to day basis. To remedy the situation, I just need to have more types of themes — another wheel.
I had originally planned on using the new system in the throwdown that didn’t happen. The new theme type that was chosen was “pattern”, which I’ll loosely define as incorporating the said pattern into an outfit tastefully. Other theme types on the new wheel include “time period”, “accessory,” and “what would you wear today?”. I’m open to suggestions as well, so if you have any feel free to post a comment.
The pattern that was chosen was argyle and I chose a budget under 2500L. Here are the results. No fancy schmancy story this time around, though I did originally spin up a tale of romance and woe around my character, Charlie Quinn, his adopted brothers Joseph and Pierre, his love interest Dove, and her father Mr. Loon. Oh, and the irony of the situation regarding avoiding costumes doesn’t escape me
Express Zenovka – Charlie Quinn

And the other stuff
I decided to make up for the lack of throw-downs by taking on two opponents in the first “tag team” throwdown next Monday. I’m up against Nicolas Sinatra and Dahlia Eilde of the couples fashion blog, Bonnie & Clyde. The two of them have plenty of experience dressing together, regularly featuring paired outfits both on their own blog and in multiple SL periodicals. Since 2 on 1 isn’t quite “tag team”, I’ll be enlisting the aid of my lovely sl wifey TheDiva Rockin, possibly better known as the Chief of the SL Fashion Police. Our theme, coming straight off the “what would you wear today” section of the first wheel, is Snow Day, celebrating the fact that there is over 6 inches of snow piled up outside my window. Each team will have 5500L to share between themselves.

Gaah, a tag-team throwdown! As if they weren’t complicated enough already. Can’t wait.
