Design Your Own
In our ongoing efforts to make Second Style Magazine the best publication that it can be, we have decided to introduce a new set of advertisement standards starting in the new year. These new guidelines apply only to the magazine, not to web banners. So what are they?

2pg Spread: 6000 x 3882
Full Page: 3000 x 3882
Half Page Vertical: 1500 x 3882

There is now a new minimum resolution for images. Remember that for best quality results, shoot any shots from within Second Life to these specs as well. (Dimensions are in pixels, Width x Height)

Snapshots in SL should be taken with High Resolution checked in the Client Menu, with any avatars shown well-lit. We will post a link to a tutorial about this if you have any doubts, and an updated version when Windlight is finalized.

Advertisements should be free of trademarked and copyrighted images and content unless you own the rights.

Ad content should be appropriate for the audience. Nothing too hardcore or offensive. We would also like to keep nudity in the realm of the tasteful and artistic.

We reserve the right to refuse ads that don’t meet these standards, but this is not us versus our advertisers! We do want to help. If you have any questions about the standards, or even need some help updating or double-checking current ads, please don’t hesitate to contact Felicity Blumenthal. Submit ads to felicityblumenthal@yahoo.com as highest quality JPGs or full color PNGs. Provide a Click-through URL (can be a SLURL) for the PDF version. If one is not provided we will assume one is not wanted.

**Ads submitted cannot be larger than 40k (10k or less would be preferable.)

Ads will be rotated between the Second Style website, Fashion Blog and Men’s Second Style (this blog). Please specify where you would like your ad to show. If nothing is specified, it will run on all our sites.
