Bad RAM modules happen more often than you think. I had the same thing happening to me – but with a brand new one !
I was told up to 30 % of RAM chips leave the factory damaged.

No friggin’ way… I don’t believe it. I will take bets on you singing “A Whole New World” when you use SL on your new computer.

Oh yeah, it’s gonna be crazy. Or something. You know what? It takes longer to migrate from an old dead PC to a hot new one than you might think. :/
