It’s beginning to look a lot like
Allegory Malaprop is something of a touchstone in SL. She might even be fairly called iconic. It makes me happy to know that she’s always out there, quietly creating things that satisfy her own quirky sensibilities and yearning for artistic expression. Some of her creations are delightful, amusing little follies; others are astonishingly detailed and elaborate. Not quite the First Deadly Sin, but still
Every once in a while, I find it impossible to resist the temptation to indulge in a shopping spree of wild abandon. It’s been a while since the last time, and I thought maybe I had somehow been cured. But it happened again just recently, and for this latest fall from grace I really must blame Mr. Oh, if not for the indulgence itself then at least for the temptation. You see, it was he who told me about Scars, suggesting that I should drop by and at least take a look, as he suspected that I would like what I saw. And so I found myself, having walked into Sin Knoller’s beautifully situated little main shop, almost entirely unable to walk back out (or teleport, for that matter) without pretty much buying the place out. Blue, period.
A while back, I was on the hunt for some new options for men’s jewelry, and my friend jamie gave me several landmarks as suggestions. You can imagine what happened—I visited some of the stores, then crashed or something and never quite got back to those landmarks. They waited patiently in my inventory until I noticed them again and thought, “Hmmm.†I made another round of visits, this time with more than just jewelry in mind, and this time I actually brought a few things home.
